Does anyone have any experience with this Vortech? A friend is selling this whole kit and I want to know if it will work for me out of the box. What numbers will I be looking with the stock headers and the stock injectors? Will I require a boost a pump? Will I require a crankshalf support bracket? What mods do you recommend to push around 750hp?

thank you

V7-JTB. Pump gas you'll be limited to 750ish for knock. With E85, injectors/fuel system capable of 1100-1200 to the wheels if you turn it up. Does well at medium boost as well. I currently am around 900 wheel on the stock motor, but in the process of a build. Very nice blower.

jtb is an oil fed billet impeller unit. it is more of a high hp application. it starts to get happy around 20psi

it will do fine at lower boost, but may come in a little lazier than a smaller unit.

we've made over 1100 wheel with this unit

pump gas we don't like to push over 700 wheel, e85, 800ish ,but we have customers pushing 1000, just no you could go any time.

Feel Free to DM me or call with any questions.

Terry thank you so much for your input but I have one question. You said this unit is for high hp application, does that mean that if I keep the rpms below 3500 I won’t feel much?

you don't feel much with a centri in general at light throttle or low rpm

boost builds with rpm, so a centri will drive more like a stock car until your into the rpms and throttle a little bit.

High HP, means it is meant for 1000 wheel plus. I have mine turned down to about 900 wheel, wouldn't call it lazy. You can turn it down more, but you get further from optimization for it. 10 psi paxton probably makes more power than jtb at 10 psi; however go up and the JTB will make more, much more.

I had a smaller vortec on my 2009 Bullitt and loved it, beautiful polishced HO kit.

In my opinion, I would go with a Procharger kit as it will make decent power in the 10 psi range up to maybe 700 or so. Mine made slightly noticeable more power right off idle. I am thinking the Vortech you have there is for serious power and if using stock internals, as Beef said, know your engine is at the edge.

I understand but I’m looking to be around 750-800 on E85 not anymore until I build a secondary engine for it

As far as injectors are concerned you just need to upgrade your port side, most people go to ID1050x, DW95, FIC 1000h, or FIC 1440

Unless you plan to run E85, you do not need to do a fuel pump / system upgrade, just a boost a pump. If you want to run E85 and FI, you'll need at least a dual pump return style system, like a Fore Innovations setup.

just Port injectors. Typically id 1050 or fic 1000. For Pump just the bap is fine For e85 you’ll want a fore Level 1 or 2

thanks
