So, i've gone down a rabbit hole of sorts. I have this annoying buzz rattle coming from the from inside the gt350 primarily in the dash area.
I found a video by auto fanatic regarding a buzz/rattle related to the stereo amp fin unit which is located down underneath the drivers side kick panel just to the left of the clutch. I was able to successfully remove all of the bolts and disconnect it from the frame brackets.. however..
the 2019's have the B&O Stereo system which features a larger amp module than the one described in the video I will post below. It does not appear that I can maneuver the module out of that area from the bottom. I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with this, or guidance on removing the lower dash panels down by the left of the steering wheel and underneath it.
I am thinking maybe I can bring it up further and through the underside of the steering wheel or to the left of the steering wheel. The biggest barrier is the clutch sensor which I cannot get the module past.
I can post pics or videos if necessary, but the video from auto fanatic describes the general idea..

you sure it's not your shifter? At certain rpm the center console vibrates (doesn't always make noise but you can feel it in your right leg before the sound happens if it does if you have recaros and fit in them tight like I do :p) Most of my rattles come from the rear but can sound like passenger seat sometimes... Honestly gave up chasing them and just drive with the windows down

Rattles and buzzes are inevitable but I don’t think there is any specific spots that do this in all the cars. In mine for example I’ve had three rattles/buzzes I’ve been able to fix and none were the amp. The right rear seat back latch, right rear interior panel just below the side window and the trim piece on the far left of the dash next to the sunglasses drawer. The damn things are infuriating and due to the frequency can be very difficult to isolate. Good luck.

Thanks... Auto Fanatic has a thread on the shifter as well. I also hear a slight buzz rattle from the back that I wlll be investigating. I just figure one thing at a time! appreciate it.

THanks, I do hear another less intrusive buzz/rattle that sounds like its coming from the rear passenger side by the seat. I am thinking it might be that right rear seat back latch.
Can you share how you fixed these? Did you end up just using some dynamat or other sound deadener?
I've also see threads of a buzz/rattle coming from the trunk that I'm going to explore as well.
This primary one is just driving me crazy.

An update to my original post.. I was able to remove the dead pedal plastic cover and then pull the carpeting back from that area which allowed me to then drop/slide the module down to clear the clutch sensor assembly.. what a pain, but now that I look at it it's setup just the same as the old module.. metal on metal...
i don't have pics of the carpeting pulled back, but this is the general area where I removed the dead pedal and pulled back the carpet...

Dynamat did not work for the buzz coming from the small panel next to the sunglass drawer but a second attempt with foam tape did stop it. I used foam tape again on the upper inside edge of the rear quarter panel and that also worked. As for the seatback latch,I wrapped the striker with electrical tape and that quieted that noise but with the constant movement of the seatback it eventually returned and rewrapping the striker again did the trick

Awesome, thank you! looks like i'll be purchasing some foam tape... any particular type of the regular from home depot?
Alos, I am wondering if there is a more permanent solution for that rear seat latch striker plate??

I used whatever I had at the time but would say the denser the better to better absorb and dampen resonance. I’d very much like a better permanent solution for the seatback latch but have notthought of one yet

thanks I appreciate your help. Will post my results on my buzz/rattle hunting.
I think we should start a buzz/rattle fix thread... It would probably make it's way to the pinned threads at the top!

Have you checked these sources if possible rattle locations:

- Loose Torx screws that hold on weather strip trim:
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/chasing-rattle.132423/

- The oldest and original rattle up front on driver side was very prevalent in the 2015-2016 S550 and that rattle was coming from the headlight assembly. I haven’t heard of any 2018+ S550’s having that issue as it seemed to have been fixed years ago during whatever assembly revision was put into place. You can check this thread if it helps any:

GT Three 50:
Well, I finished the AMP dynamat and drove the car for the first time. Still a buzz/rattle present which sounds like it's coming from the front dash. I am also pretty sure there is a secondary one coming from the back area.
How difficult was it to remove the right rear interior panel just below the side window?
also, the trim piece next to the sunglasses drawer... are you talking about the molding that goes up the side of the lower dash where it connects to the kick panel?
Appreciate any input you can give me!

Lorne,
I just had the RR panel out of mine. 2nd time I have removed it. There are 2 push in clips at front, upper and lower, so you need to remove lower piece of back seat first. Then I pull the front edge of panel out away from window. If you pull p or toward the front you could break the clips.
Hope this helps
