Question for people with JLT intake

How can the man possibly look bad for defending his company? It's honestly a shame and down right embarrassing that some so called enthusiasts can't even handle a simple CAI install... For me, I'm 45 and I realize that at some point in time I wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer too, but back then we had to figure stuff out. We couldn't run to the internet for help, we were forced to figure it out on our own. If that didn't work we would call the tech line then next business day.

I'm willing to bet that the majority of you guys have zero idea who I am. But... I race a car in a very competitive class in the NMRA called Coyote Stock. The racing is extremely close and most times the margin of victory in the thousands of a second. Example 0.015, you can't even blink your eyes that quick. I can afford any of the CAI's available for the '15 Mustang and do you want to know which one I run and why?

I choose the JLT because IMHO, its the best one on the market, period. I could give two $#!t$ that you some of you think he is the CAI Nazi (AKA Seinfeld Soup Nazi), his product flat out works. And on top of that, It looks just as good as it performs.

I think Steeda makes a great suspension product, but I have yet to see a single one of their CAI's being used in NMRA Coyote Stock Competition. Just Sayin'

I just can't believe that it took someone 3 hours to install a CAI. Lol, I would suggest taking your car to a Ford Tech to change the filter. Don't come on the forums to blast someone for your lack of install capabilities.

I just installed my JLT CAI today and I have to say everything went extremely smooth. The piece the OP was having such a hard time with literally took me about 2 mins to fit and slide on! The fit and finish of the kit is great and it looks great under the hood.

I chose to delete the sound tube and the 10mm nut was a real pain to get to, but JLT supplied the firewall plug and cap for the CAI tube!

All in all a great product...as always from JLT!

I'm with JLT.
1. My install was EASY. Step by step instructions are even included....like swap a spare tire easy.
2. The OP blasted JLT, and it was his own fault.

I for one found this post very interesting. Even know I agree with Jay in that its not really fair to make a post and complain about a product's failure before first contacting the manufacturer. I came away from this thread thinking that if I screw up the install of my JLT intake, I'm going to be called out for not being mechanically inclined or stupid when I call the manufacturer for help only after reading some of the reply's posted by the manufacturer.

But this quote from Joe really got me thinking.

So are you saying that because JLT is the only kit used in Coyote Stock class that it must be the best kit out there? Because based on that logic then I should go out and buy a bias ply slick for my street car. IMHO and that is all it is just because it is good for a race car does not make it good for a street car especially when race cars generally have experienced mechanically inclined people working on them as opposed to street cars which have generally enthusiasts working on them. Like Jay posted earlier some of them may have stronger abilities working with computers then turning a wrench.

Max HP is great for racing but more important to me is will my car still retain its full drive ability and will the manufacturer stand behind the product because I only will use my 400+hp on occasion and not in my morning commute to work.
