yes post your comparison review. I switched the Contis out immediately for the toyos. The toyos are amazing but they’re $500 a tire (installed) and last one summer.
Jmtoast I’ll definitely keep you updated. Once the last of the cold weather breaks here in NJ over the next two weeks they are going on the car. I am sticking with 275/35/20’s and running them on the Roush wheels because I really like them. I have a really nice set of staggered wheels from my 17 that if I feel I need to go to a 305/35/20 I can make the switch, but I think the 275’s will do fine.

I just put my original 275/35-20 Continental Extremecontact Sports back on my RS2 after switching out to BFG Comp 2 AS Plus for cold weather. I autocrossed one time on the BFGs and now once on the Continentals. I didn't notice a huge amount of difference in grip, but the BFGs showed a bit more wear. Eventually I'll get switched over to 305/30-20s on 19x11 rims. I wonder if the speedometer being off is a Roush thing. I have noticed that the speedometer is about 2mph high at 75mph. I'll have to see about using Forscan to get it corrected. My 700hp tune actually seems to work pretty well autocrossing. It's a bit early to comment on heat soak, but the power comes on pretty predictably. Even if I'm not a fast driver, the car is a whole lotta fun to drive!

One other thing... I've noticed a bit of detonation at times on the local 91 octane gas. I ordered a barrel of Sunoco 260GT (100 octane) from my local engine builder and started mixing a bit. I'm trying to keep it in the 93-94 octane range. It's been working well since I've started doing that.

How much you pay for that barrel?

It was a little over $9/gallon. Thus the mixing. I can see why people would rather run E85. At this point I'm just making sure I have it mixed for when I'm running it at the track.

Hurry up and put them on and report back. I have already prepped my accountant lol that I may be making a $1600 or so purchase real soon. Of course I didn't tell her....uhhhhhmmm my accountant that it is to replace tires that don't have 5k miles on them. I really would like to try the 555R2 but I don't really do things from the dig and don't NEED a tire that really wont last much past 5 or 7K miles. My buddy swears that he does not spin with the Contis on his new Roush.

i love my 20’s too. I’m putting new tires on myself but they’re not drag radials so I guess I stick to occasional roll race. Or maybe the continental extreme contact sports will surprise me. The hellcatguys seem to love them so who knows.

I don't spin the tires either if TC is on :)

Ask him to turn TC off.. Report back!

If he's not turning it off, it's pulling power and limiting his possibilities.

Even with TC on-I can break traction with Conti's ......then pulls timing.

TC off and yup....will smoke up the tires

I wasn't impressed when I had them on at stock. But they're supposed to improve after they've been on awhile and to fair it wasn't the warmest weather.
