I have a 2015 v6 base everything is stock. I have had it since 2015. I just hit 110K miles on it and I'm ready to start making some upgrades from stock parts. I was told by ford that the left rear shock is leaking. Instead of fixing one I just want to upgrade them all.

I was looking at KONI Strut And Shock Kit Adjustable Yellow Sport Mustang V6 2015-2017/ EcoBoost/ GT 2015-2022 and it also says"Not Compatible with MagneRide Equipped Vehicles" can someone explain what that means?

The short answer is you mustang does not have magnaride and you don't need to worry about it.

Magnaride is an active magnetic dampener system which the struts change their handling characteristics based on user setting and driving conditions. Its offered on newer, higher trim mustangs than the '15 v6.

If you do any moderately enthusiastic driving get camber plates too. Are you savvy about suspension? Are you committed to adjusting things till you get it right? If not bolt on the FP track set of dampers and springs, or the Bilstein. I would suggest the steeda adjustable over the koni between those two.

And take a stab at the basic IRS fixes while you're at it.

My car is a '15 also, so my suspension is similar to yours. I rebuilt my entire suspension and went with Steeda parts, including non-adjustable Pro-Action shocks and Sport Progressive springs. I suppose it depends on how you plan on using your car. My setup is good for every day driving and some spirited winding, back road driving. You can go all out if you're going to track race. Consider your budget also.

My advice is Bilstein B8's. I think these are the bang/buck champ. They provide better grip and response than stock when you're hustling an on-ramp or whatever and ride better than stock when on anything rough. I've always been impressed with Bilstein value in any car I've used them.

The streeda non adjustables are the equivalent of the Koni orange shocks. Probably not really any better than new stock shocks.

Bilsteins have a slight advantage over the steeda non-adjustables and stockers.

If you intend to use the stock adjustments, then absolutely the Koni yellows can be a great choice. (Adjustment is easy and quick). If you’re never going to touch them, then bilsteins non-adjustables are fine, or the ford performance track shocks. (No really track, more sporty street).

With 110k on the car, you might consider freshening some of the bushings, at least inspecting them. You can get the ride quality of a new car back, if you replace shocks and the rubber bits that harden and tear, and bearings that wear out.

Anything will be a huge improvement over 100k mile stock shocks, which are like twice overdue for replacement.

What is FP and IRS? I’m not very savvy but trying to get savy. This will be my first upgrade to the car.

Thanks. Bilstein looks a little pricey after further review I was thinking about this steeda set. I really know nothing about cars. I had a rear differential done by ford about 6 months ago would I still need bushings? besides shocks ans struts what other suspension parts should i look into?

Take some time and read all the threads that look interesting in the first 3 or so pages of this forum section.

They are pricey because they are a much higher quality/smoother riding suspension.

If you like a rough clunky suspension for a couple hundred dollar savings, then Steeda and other low end parts will certainly work. If you want a more quality ride, one that resembles stock but performs even better you need to step up and that comes at a bit of a price increase.

I think that's probably a little harsh, especially since they aren't the ones actually building dampers. My personal opinion favors the Bilstein, and K4 is right, B6's, not B8's.

Hit me up with what you plan to use the car for and what kind of ride you're looking for and if you want the adjustability factor; can get you a setup dialed in for sure.

Magnaride was standard on the GT350's and is now an optional upgrade on the 2018+ Mustang's.

Feel free to DM me or call with any questions!

I wouldn't say "shitty", but they are not exactly quality high end parts and certainly not on Billstein's level. It's a cheaper/lower end part for those on a budget that don't mind sacrificing ride quality.

look for my full tear-down thread. :)
But really all car suspension that only cost $200/corner is nothing to write home about. Once you get to $600+/corner you start to see nice parts.
