I need to replace my speakers in the doors of my 2015 Mustang convertible V-6. I am looking at Pair Pioneer TS-A652C 6-1/2 Inch 350 Watts 2-Way 6.5 Car Component Speakers System with Carbon and Mica Reinforced IMPP Cones with Elastic Polymer Surround… . First I will tell you I am not even knowledgeable enough to call myself a novice, ignorant is probably a better description. My question is can they plug into the existing wiring? I'm not looking for perfect sound or enough bass I don't spend that much time in my car. I am replacing the speakers because I blew one out and the other is on it's way out. I am looking for something easy and maybe a little loud. Thanks in advance and don't beat me up too badly for not knowing what the hell I am talking about :).

Ru paying someone to do all the work?

"Buff"-something makes units that have the exact Ford connectors and mounting flanges for the simplest swap. But about 2x the price.

The pillar speaker is a royal bitch. Is it fried?

No, my boyfriend was going to do it if the install isn't too complicated. He has mechanical aptitude.... some. I have 1 working speaker left in the front and it's got a lot of static. Thank you for the reply.

Hi OP, more likely than not, yes you can use the existing wiring for the install.
I would highly recommend you take your car to a professional though to do the install for you. This kind of stuff gets tricky. Someone that specializes in this kind of install will know if the wiring needs to be changed based on the system you are wanting to install.

Easy to change yourselves the wiring diagram is on the forum so you can identify the factory negative wire that can be cut, soldered or crimped to aftermarket speaker wire.

Get a trim removal tool ket on Amazon so none of the plastic trim is damaged. Might need after market mount adapter.

Try car-part.com for used Ford speaker to derisk everything.

Don't expect much from aftermarket speakers can only do so much with Ford amp.

If you end up taking it somewhere, I would recommend a place just east of the turnpike on Hollywood Blvd called Audio Logic. They did my truck and one of my cars with a complete new system with camera, speakers and phone. I highly recommend them.

Simply replacing the speaker won’t make it louder and installing the wrong impedance speaker could make it quieter. It would be a lot easier to guide you if you had some basic audio knowledge (no fault of your own) so my best advice is to go to a pro shop and ask them to work within your budget and get you some decent sound back.

Pretty sure OP just wants to replace blown speaker on a 9 year old car.

BF with trim tools, basic tools incl crimps or soldering iron plus shrink wrap and patience can swap one out in 2 hrs max triple checking everything.

My sister could do this job.
