Question about windscreen install

I was able to purchase a Ford windscreen from a German reseller and the installation instructions are not too specific. I need to remove the trim piece that is on top of the rear side panels. This need to come off so I can get behind the panel to secure a nut that holds the little plastic pieces that creates the hole for the locking pins to be inserted. I'm always nervous about yanking too hard on interior trim pieces. Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance. Bill
