To each their own, but I disagree. Hated the PP wheels. Hated the Pirelli tires, too. You're right about the brakes though, those PP brakes are badass -- although it's worth mentioning that the base brakes are not too shabby either. 4 piston 14" rotors? These are as good or better than the last gen's track pack brakes, if I recall correctly. Not bad for base.
Yea, the S550 Base brakes are last gen's track brakes--they stand well enough on their own. Brembos are awesome though. I agree on the PP rims and Pirellis. The Performance Pack rims are heavy as shit and the Pirellis are terrible tires with bad grip. I didn't even wait for the tread to wear thin before buying better tires. Tires are the first thing I'd upgrade if I wanted to improve the handling of this car, the Pirellis really hold it back.

I just test drove a premium with 3:55's. They didn't have a performance pack on the lot. IT had 20" wheels on it, so I think thats what gave it a stiffer then normal feel. I didn't really get to toss it around as there was a lot of traffic. I think the 3:73 will make a difference. I expected more of a harder hit from the v8.

Keep in mind these Coyote engines have most of their power on the top end. If you can't rev out the engine it is going to feel sluggish compared to torque heavy V8s. Whereas most American V8's have their power down low and fall off in the upper RPMs, the Mustang GT shines after 4000+. Bad traffic will definitely make a stock Coyote feel like a pig. Unfortunately, 3.73's won't make as big a difference as you're expecting. You really need to ride the RPMs to get the most out of this car.

I noticed it really picked up after 3500. I will test drive another one. Hopefully I pp car. Liked it a lot though.

Anyone know if the recaro seats sit lower then the stock seats??

The Coyote is not really a low-end grunt engine, it is 4V and needs some RPM to really wake up. I too found the throttle tip-in a bit sluggish but solved that with the FRPP/Roush Phase 1 blower.......wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

You're in Cincy already......I shipped by car from AL to have the blower installed at Paul's Automotive....they did a great job.

Not sure but the Recaro seat height has a good range of mechanical adjustment..

Going to have Paul install axelbacks and also the shifter bushing and mount since I don't have a lift/garage

Which jives well with my own experience. From a dig, the car struggles a bit. Against any performance-oriented car, I almost always start from behind. Though by the time the RPMs hit 4k or so, I'm usually catching up quick to most of them. There are all those Honda VTEC memes floating around like "VTEC kicked in bro" and sh*t, but for our Coyotes it's almost true. The butt dyno feels the high RPM power kick in well enough.

From a roll, this car is brutal. It hangs with cars that nothing this cheap should have any business hanging with. And it owns cars in its class. There was a guy who wanted a go with a Stingray 'vette from a 60 roll, and yeah, the vette won... by a nose hair. The guy was shocked and asked me what I did the car (to which my answer was "not very much"). Not bad for a $30k cheap pony car.

But you do miss the low end grunt when launching, and there's no way around that short of a blower, so far as I know. I have no doubt that same 'vette would have owned me from a dig. It's not what I originally expected from my first V8 pony car, but ultimately satisfying anyway.

That was the first thing I noticed when getting into the Mustang. The first time I really put the pedal down, I actually got a little scared at how hard the car kept pulling the higher the RPM went. Coming from a few turbo cars, I was use to the power dying off once you got to the high rpm (stock turbos). The Mustang pulls hard to the end. I actually did roll races a the other weekend with my buddy. He has a 2015 Evo with bolt-ons/tune. Dynoed 365whp, 26psi and tapers down to 20psi. In 3rd gear rolls around 40 on the highway I was pulling (walk) him every time. He would destroy me out the hole though no doubt. With him in his car and his wife, our race weights were probably about equal.

On my test drive, I noticed...this thing can even accelerate on 5th! The mid range torque is incredible. Now, if I could only tune it for more bottom range torque...

Interesting that the max torque figure for the Mustang (400) is actually higher than the 5.0 F-150 (387). Not sure much more torque can be had from the Coyote with a tune. Ford is getting higher peak torque out of the Ecoboost 3.5 V6 (420).
