So I decided to splurge and get an exhaust. Thanks to beefcake for the great deal, i will soon have The Corsa sport to xtreme active exhaust with black tips. Any suggestions on the install? Is it worth getting someone to install it, or should i go for it with a jack and Jack stands.

Changing an exhaust is not that complicated, though jacks and jackstands don't get it up high enough for the heights I prefer when working under the car.

A second pair of hands will definitely help. Also Corsa tips are known for being a pain to line up so just be patient!

If you don't have access to a lift, it's going to be a PITA.

Seems like best bet might be just getting a shop to install it and avoid the hassle

I was going to put mine on myself on my back, but the exhaust shop that I've used to do work on other cars I've had said they'd do the install for $60 cash. No brainer for me.

You can do it yourself if you are mechanically inclined. Might even spend the extra 300 and add an x or h pipe while you are under the car. A sawzall works wonders if cutting is needed.

Congrats it’ll be awesome for your ears and eyes

BMR jacking rails and 4 jackstands get the car up in the air high enough for me to safely and easily do all the exhaust work. I use a 5th jackstand to support parts of the exhaust as they are unbolted.

If you looking to save some money it is very possible with a decent set of tools, jack and jack stands. Just take your time and do it safely. I just did a header install with 2 jack stands and a jac .

Its a full catback so no need for x pipe:like:

I would have installed myself but was in a car accident in DEC 2019 and my left arm is jacked up.

Nothing feels good like doing the work yourself if you have the right tools and time.

Well I through her up on jack stands and did the job my self. It was a bitch to do alone but I managed it. I love the sound. Might need some assistance making fitment adjustments, for some reason the outside tips seem a bit low but could not achieve any rotation to raise up that side. For now though it fits and is consistent on both sides.

Clamp position does not have enough tension to keep the pipe from rotating inside the slip fit. Take a rubber mallet and tap it into a tight fit deep inside the slip joint when you have them oriented correctly
