The price on these is pretty good compared to others. I bought them from Autoanything and got to installing once they arrived.
I liked that the kit included a rubber stopper for the OEM hardline so you're not spilling brake fluid all over while the install is ongoing. And the lines are well-built.
Then things didn't start going well. It first started that the mounting brackets weren't labeled correctly. No big deal and it could be argued that they were. It's just that in all my years of working on cars, right and left is determined from the driver's seat.
Then the kicker. The banjo bolts were the wrong thread. What comes with the kit are M10x1.0. What is required is M10x1.5. I should probably mention that this is on the Brembo brakes. For all I know the thread could be right for the rest of the trim levels.
Anyway, The OEM bolts were a little longer than the supplied bolts, so I cut them down and they worked fine. Still, I'd like to get what I paid for, right?
According to Stoptech's website, they don't deal directly with retail customers. I emailed Autoanything to tell them the issue. Autoanything hears back from Stoptech. Stoptech says that the thread is correct? Really?! I'm pretty sure the nut I threaded onto the bolt that is M10x1.5 says differently. I email Autoanything back telling them that I'm right, Stoptech isn't in this case. Autoanything says I can return the item for a refund. Nope, they're already on the car!
I was able to source correct threaded banjo bolts from another supplier, and make everything work. I just wanted folks to know in case they purchased the lines and ran into an "oh crap" moment.
