How about some feedback on the tires? I'm curious to know their limits from a traction standpoint.

Today I went ahead and installed my 2nd suspension mod.

The first was a partial CB005 Kit. Now, this Poly/Bearing Upper Camber Link Set.

These meet my goal of saving weight. They are almost half the weight of the OE pieces.

I find it weird that Kelly, the master of the suspension universe, has only one and a half suspension mods in his car!

Hmmm...maybe that's the secret.

Oh.....trust me. Suspension overload is coming.

I'm trying to go above and beyond and test select combinations and also prototype parts....so I can learn more and cater best it every customer for every purpose and application.

There is also the factor of...this is a personal build that I am trying to keep my employer out of as much as possible. I don't want it to appear that it's for the sake of selling sus pension.

On that note. Zero NVH increase with the upper camber links.

Kelly, what advantage, other that the weight savings, do the upper camber links give you? I have never seen these before.

Another night of working on one of my cars til midnight, then answering PMs, Emails and FB messages until 2AM. Atleast when I go out someday, I can rest in knowing I gave it my all. lol...

So anyways, tonight I put the car up on ramps in my driveway (because my Blue car is hogging my garage) and installed the CB005 Front Locating Arms. I had some stuff to test out before I added them (that will eventually be new BMR parts ;)

I wanted to snap pics of my eccentric bolts on the inner toe link mounts.

You can usually get a good idea of how centered your cradle is, by looking at the positions of the eccentric washers. Thus far, on every car I have touched or seen....this indicator has been very accurate. In the pics below, you will notice that the punched holes in the washers both favor the passenger side of the car.

So in this case, the "effective" lengths of the toe links are different. The Driver side link is adjusted longer...and the passenger side shorter. What this tells me is, the IRS cradle was shifted towards the passenger side when installed from the factory. Of course, when this happens...the camber links are also positioned differently, as the camber and toe adjustments are directly in relation. This positioning of the cradle and the adjustments are not drastic....but they do exist.

I also snapped shots of the CB005 arms.

Tomorrow I will be putting the car up on the rack and performing an alignment in preparation for the road course this weekend.

If I can remember and have the time, I may take some shots of what I do to show those who are not aware of how to adjust the suspension on these cars. Specifically the upper camber links and how they affect the toe, etc.

Kelly, I take it you're implying your cradle was shifted to the drivers side more than the passenger prior to the CB005 kit?

Spent all day yesterday doing the final testing of our UTCA057 Poly/Bearing Upper Camber Links at "The FIRM"....a cool road course in North Florida.

Car has Palm Beach Dyno Tune, HRE FF15s with 275s, Pypes Axle Back, CB005 and UTCA057. Other than that, mostly stock.

Best lap time was a 1.28:47....but I did not save it. I am still learning the Lap Timer, and other electronics on the cars...but I was able to save a 1.29:30...and I have several 1.29's so I will just use that as a baseline.
