Toe and camber are relative when doing an alignment. You can set camber but when you adjust the toe it will change the camber. By having an adjustable toe link, that allows you to set the camber where you want it, and adjust the length of the toe link relative to where the camber needs to be in order for the toe to be set without screwing up the camber. It initially didn't fully make sense to me either but once I was under the car when we were doing the alignment and watching the settings change as we were making adjustments it made perfect sense as to how they all are connected.
I think I understand what you're talking about. Looks like I need some rear toe links before I get my alignment then. Appreciate it!

What a work of art. Awesome looking car man. Hope to see it at C&C Franklin sometime, I need to see this in person! I was there last weekend but didn't see very many s550s.

I attended some of the middle Saturday events this summer but missed all the first weekend of the month events. I had a lot of crap going on this summer. Thanks for the compliment!

Cars up in the air now for my sways install, k-brace, headers, thermostat, switchbacks (finally just sucking it up and dealing with the dancing blinker noise) and oh yeah the jacking rails. Actually the jacking rails were done while it was on the ground. :)

Car is in my garage, still in the air :D

I have the front bar installed, I'm doing the rear today and the subframe bushing supports. I had to buy a stubby hex to get the nice bolts in under the alternator and borrowed my buddies tap and die to clean up the threads in the subframe from the locktite that was in there from the factory. The bolts were not wanting to thread in nicely so I did some cleanup work during the install. Since I'm doing everything myself I have to pick away at it when I get time. I'm taking pics on my phone through the installs though so I'll have a massive post once it's all done.

That one alternator bolt is a pita.
That's the absolute truth, first I tried to use the hex bolt, threaded it in by hand enough to not be able to back it out by hand, spent 30 min trying to get the damn thing out. Then I put the OEM bolt in there, torqued it down, sat back, took pics and was annoyed it didn't match. So then I had to order a stubby hex, get the OEM bolt back out and slowly get the hex bolt in. It didn't help none of my ratcheting wrenches or flex heads could get in there either so it was ALL done like a quarter turn at a time. :frusty:

Well I'll do some updating.

Up in the air

Made easy by these Steeda Jacking Rails

So here is the mess that you have to snake this bar out from

Steeda bar vs stock bar in the front

Billet Mounts

I don't have a stubby enough hex... I'll just put the stock bolt in

annnnnd it's ugly

ugh.. that's better but fuh

Rear bar has much more room to maneuver

Stock rear vs Steeda rear

Mounted.... dat billet

Holy shit these inserts are easy...

except... this bastard

and that's all for now, I'll post more once I get the k-brace in after the headers and thermostat
