So I finally got rolling on my grill this weekend. It's the custom car grills swat mesh kit in matte black. I can't speak highly enough of Matt and his kit. On to some pics.

Getting started with the dremel

Both Grills cut out

Sanding down the material to smooth it out

Getting the initial zip ties and holders in place

So the kit comes with all these zip tie mounts and goop. It's a little messy but works really well. You stick on the mounts, then goop around the edges, let cure for 24 hours then start your initial mounting. Here is a better detail of it.

This is it for now. My steeda bumper is shipping out so I'll get final new pics on the car.

Oh....Very nice! I like this a lot!! That looks great, Jake:thumbsup:

How hard was it to dremel the top, factory grill grate off? I will only do my top grill as I have the ACC which is in the bottom grill and I don't want to mess that up.

It's not that bad, just have to have a fairly steady hand and a nice clean plastic cutting wheel on the dremel. I used 80 grit sand paper and big block to clean up the edges then finished it off with some 120. Sure you can go to 220 and make it smoother but to me, I didn't see the reason to. I was really nervous at first about screwing it up but if you just go slow and take your time it's not too bad. Plus the 80 grit will clean up a lot if your hands a little jittery.

Yeah his videos are pretty good, I did the initial mounting slightly different, I found it a little more difficult to put the zip ties in first then slide the mesh over vs putting the mesh on there and fishing the zip ties through there.
