The coastal dyno car is making 700rwhp with the 4.38 pulley at 15lbs. I think you just need to Drop down to a smaller pulley to get to where u want to be.

I plan on running the same pulley the boostworks car has. The only difference is I have o/r headers and that car doesn't. I was suppose to drop the car off 3 weeks ago but I'm still waiting on my mgw shifter.
What pulley are they running?

5 sizes is like a 4.00. The D1SC is at its max recommended impeller speed there. I said recommended. Lol

I don't have a permanently mounted reliable mechanical boost gauge in my car to confirm the boost the mustang dyno said I had today. I believe it to be correct within 1 psi based on what I've seen when I DID have my mechanical gauge in the cockpit last time I tuned.

And yes, the stock Stage 2 ProCharger makes 600 / 500 with their canned tune, that ProCharger rep posted the other day.

And the Stage 1 only makes about 8 psi, so so get that Boostworks car to 10.3 psi I'm sure they dropped it a few sizes to spin it harder, that makes perfect sense. But 10 psi is 10 psi, even though mine is making a little more a little sooner because of the bigger impeller in the D1.

It's all got to be in the tune, if the cars both make the same boost right?

I thought it would be simpler than this, and I bought the full package so I wouldn't regret buying the off the shelf kit. Irony is, I'm regretting it with all the upgrades now, instead. It's either in the tune and I need a tuner switch, or it's in the boost and I need more boost. But if that's the case, how do Boostworks and Evolution both post 525-550 torque at 10psi and 668 - 700 rwhp? Is it hype? They sure sound good on the dyno videos. I just don't know.

I don't think this is a huge conspiracy, I just want to get into the top 10% bracket since I have the top shelf hard parts to make it there.

Someone has the answer. I'd actually LOVE to spin that blower to about 90% for the sound and lower down power. I just don't want the massive top end peak boost to end my short block's life in a couple months.

One option the Corvette guys do is a inserting a restrictor before the throttlebody. You can pulley up but reduce the boost getting to the throttlebody.

Interesting. There's plenty of cheap ways to neck down at the TB, I suppose. But wouldn't that hurt me across the board, not just at peak?

ECS and A&A are the two companies that deal with that stuff. I will post some links up from over at the Corvette Forums for reference.

After I get back from the North Shore. Waves are up a little bit.

That reminds me, I need to get out of my house and off my computer and stop worrying about this for a while. It's still awesome. I'm just looking for a little more awesome than awesome. Hope the surf is great!

So let me preface this by saying I'm very excited about my ProCharger system and I don't regret getting a ProCharger.

Now that's out of the way...there are defects in the tubing coming out of ProCharger. I just got off the phone with Rev Auto, a well respected shop versed in all things Mustang, and they informed me that the reason I couldn't get 700rwhp was because the inlet tube was collapsing over 6k rpm, just like Phils15GT. The peak power kept getting lower on the dyno and kept moving down the rpm range, so they inspected the tubing during a run and saw the tube collapse.

I think that it would prudent for everyone to inspect their tubing, just to be safe. One could be a fluke. Two on this board? I'm sure ProChargerTech is going to burst in and claim we're the only ones, and that's fine (maybe we are) but better safe than sorry - I'd get your inlet inspected. The shop told me they'd get on the phone with PC tomorrow morning. The wait again continues...
