Yeah a mustang on rollerskates. But it’s funFinally getting some time to drive the new set up. Have noticed some drivability issues and I have sent these to PBD. I am sure these will get resolved in short order.
Got caught in a lite rain on the interstate and was cruising at 65 mph. I gave the car a moderate amount of throttle, and at 4K the rear tires broke loose.
Like learning how to drive the Mustang all over again.
Your definitely on the right track. Don’t forget that when you go fast you also have to slow down.Gets alittle sketchy slowing down from 150 with worn pads or rotors.JPSTANG,
Agreed 100%. The driver is the weakest link.
Something I have learned that's probably old news to everyone else, but drivability is just as critical as tuning for max power. Ideally you achieve both.
Taking it easy with the throttle until you get the hang of the new power in various weather conditions and road surfaces is more important than I ever thought.
Have some new 19 x 10 front 19 x 11 rear wheels on order and will put the Nitto 555R2's on a 305/35/19 on the rear.
Not my car in the pic, but this is the color of my car and what the new bronze wheels will look like, so my 2018 GT will be about 95% like this:
