I need to understand how the system works.

BOV = how does it know what pressure and rpm to open? Is it adjusted or set based on the head pulley size?

Head pulley size = my P1x came with a 4.75 pulley and I may go ahead and install a 4.25 or 4.38. How can I calculate the correct 8 rib belt to properly accommodate a 4.25 - 4.38 pulley?

Is there a rough way to factor predicted HP based on altitude (I'm 500 feet above sea level), blower rpm, and octane?

I have ID1050X injectors and a BAP, fuel is 93 (no E85 anywhere in my region). Goal is 650 rwp +/- in a 2018 with A10.

Lund will be my tuner using an Ngauge.

Bov uses spring pressure to know when to open. Do you mean using a bov to control boost or are you referring to the bypass valve that comes with the kit?

The bypass valve that comes in the kit opens anytime the engine is making vacuum. So anytime you are not at wot. As soon as you open the throttle wide open and you start to make boost. The bypass shuts
Your hp goals are not a problem at all

Bypass valve that comes with the kit. I knew it was tied into the intake manifold for a signal.

Yes vacuum will open it so anytime you are not wot. Then boost from the manifold closes it. The stock one vents to atmosphere through a filter and is very quiet. It is good enough for your hp goals. The downside to the proflow bypass valve that comes in the kit is they leak boost pressure. Procharger says it is not enough to matter but a leak is a leak

My procharger p1x stg 2 kit on my 19gt with helical cut gears and red bypass valve is barely noticeable at idle unless you know what to listen for. I used to have a 15 with disc and red valve and straight cut gears and you knew it every time the engine was running that there was something lurking under the hood. Alot of people told me it sounded like a jet engine passing

Mine sounds like a jet or a tractor trailers turbo. I have a tial bov that has been muffled so thats pretty quiet. But I run a filter right on my Procharger so that whistle/wine sounds is very loud

What are the benefits to the red bypass valve over the stock one that comes on the Procharger?

If you have installed a smaller pulley And need a larger bypass valve that’s what it’s for. on the stock system there’s no benefit. The pro flow bypass is usually has more than enough air flow. only complaint I have is that it leaks.

Just gives you a louder whoosh sound when lifting off throttle while under boost. Some guys actually need to upgrade to it due to the high amount of boost blowing their couplers/charge pipes off because the boost can't vent fast enough. I believe that's over 15lbs or so though so typical 8 to 12 pi set ups don't need to upgrade

Except your car is going to be whining like a jet from the ProCharger sucking air at idle. You don't really get a ProCharger because you want to hide it.

Facts! (I have made my as stealth as I can,.... ProFlow with filter on, Helical gears, and now blacking out the intercooler). Whats funny, is I get MORE races now on the way to work, because folks think its a V6.... (small wheels, no tint, stock quiet none PP mufflers)

ProChargerTech, I have a ā€˜19 Bullitt looking to go with a Procharger. I have 4.09 gears sitting in my part pile. Would this help or hinder the Procharger performance? I’m not a drag racer and don’t do hard starts (1st gear). I generally like hitting it in 2-4th gears. After that, I usually left off. My hope is since the ProCharger hits higher up in the revs, the 4.09 gears would help pickup in the lower rpm’s. What do you think? My Bullitt feels tall in the gears.
