I went ProCharger...

Like asking what flavor ice cream you like. Everyone knows the answer is french vanilla with caramel topping, they just want to lie to everyone else that they like rocky road.

I'm looking at a Stage 2 ProCharger D1x or a Gen 3 Whipple myself. I'm about ready to pull the trigger since I've got all of my other mods to be "boost ready." Does anyone have dyno graphs of cars that would be comparable using a D1 or D1x vs a Whipple at the same boost numbers? I figure the best comparison would include an intake manifold on the centrifugal setup to help it make power up to 7500rpm. Obviously the Whipple is going to make more power on the lower end of the graph, but I would mainly like to see what happens from 4000-7500 rpm. If anyone has experience or educated opinions please chime in!

Heat soak with a PD blower is real down here in the south. Go centrifugal or turbo. I have had them all. Presently I am centrifugal

I agree.the down low is nice on a pd blower. But heatsoak is a huge issue. I have had 03 cobras. Tvs.kenne bell on previous cars. All run HOT and you can feel it in the car and see it in iats. My current procharger setup is tame down low but you feel like you are on a jet on a catapult above 3500rpm. And it runs cooler now then when i was NA

Heat soak is not an issue on the newer S550 setups, and can't compare to old setups. Comparing with older generation PD or twin screw setups the new S550 setups have much more efficient rotor packs and the HE and intercoolers are much bigger and better designed. Many people run these without issue and heat soak isn't something to worry about. Problem some may have is running an open filter in the hot engine bay, not good! Run a closed airbox on a PD setup for sure.

My IATS with the dual fans are 25-35 degrees over ambient. if I had an ice tank it would be even less. that's pretty good IMO

I have a procharger stage 2 D1SC and really love it. Pros are easier setup and less complicated system overall, low aits like normally always a few degrees above ambient temps. It pulls like a beefed up NA setup so drives normally in the low end and ramps up like crazy above 4500. Pair it with 2018 manifold and your golden. Whipple will have a more initial torque feeling off the hit and pull strong as well. Cant go wrong with either just depends on goals and use of the car.
