Ha. If you drive in reverse it would be torture for people.

are you sure they were flashing you to indicate your highbeams were on?
I usually flash people if there is a hazard on the road ahead of them or if a cop is up ahead.

I'm certain they were flashing me because of my lights. It happened on three different roads. Looks like a couple of other folks have mentioned their headlight aim being a little off. I think I'll go ahead and adjust mine soon.

Remember, it might not be that they are to high. The Mustang has a stiff suspension and you can see the xenons bouncing up when you hit a bump. You may actually be flashing them with the xenon line as it bounces up. They might be thinking you are flashing them. There is no real way around this... besides the fact in 2015 they should recognize xenons and expect it on occasion :)

I could see this happening.

Took my new Mustang out to the country last weekend to visit family and while driving at night several people flashed their high beams at me...indicating that my brights were on...but they were not. I did notice that my low beams seem to shine pretty far down the road. Any body else think that their lights might be aimed to high from the factory?
I wondered the very same thing this morning, which was my first night drive in the new car.

I thought the low beams looked pretty far up the road. I also noticed a "notch" in the upper edge of the light pattern on the road. The notch was such that the light field was lower at the left half. And it lined up with the oncoming lane, so I wondered if this was intentional by the factory.

Check your owner's manual in the "Maintenance" section for proper headlight adjustment.

I got my car back from the body shop who had replaced my p/s headlight assembly and it was aimed way too high. Problem is i see to remember the headlights looking like a smooth straight line across the top when I pulled up to my garage door. Now there is a discernable notch between the left and right headlight. So when driving, there appears to be a hole or gap. Can anyone post a pic of what their headlights look like shining at a flat smooth wall?

For those of you talking about a "notch" between the left and right beams, yes that is normal. The left headlight is aimed lower since that is the one that is closer to oncoming traffic. That is more or less a standard thing regardless of the car or type of light.

As for aiming, as others have mentioned, the owners manual should give you some help with that. From what I've seen, most HID (High-Intensity Discharge/Xenon) headlights have auto-levelers in them that should aim the lights up/down in small increments as you go up/down a hill. That being said, they will work off of the existing aiming so if they are not aimed correctly from the beginning, it's not going to get any better.

My 2011 WRX Limited, which also had factory HID/Xenon lights, did not have the auto-levelers. Instead, I had a little rotary switch with like 5-6 numbered settings. Rotating the switch would bring the beam up and down in small increments. I always thought this was stupid in that who would be sitting there rolling that switch around as they're going up/down a hill. The fact that it was there meant that there were small motors in the headlights. Why not spend the extra couple bucks and get auto-levelers in there? If I recall, my dads old Nissan Murano had a similar setup.

In any case, nowadays, I would assume most HID cars use auto-levelers, like the new Mustang. I'm actually surprised they didn't go with LED projectors. I would think they're a lot cheaper. The rental Corolla I had recently had LED projectors. Looks very similar to HID but they are instant on. There is no "warmup".

Sounds like they are not aligned horizontally. Again, see the owner's manual on how to adjust headlights.

BTW - I noticed that there is a 3rd printing of the 2015 Mustang Owner's Manual, and in there they added how to adjust the headlights horizontally. In the older manual, it said there was no horizontal adjustment. You can download the latest owner's manual in PDF form off of Ford's website or other sites, just Google search for it.

Here's the new part in the OM on how to adjust horizontally.

I went to adjust the headlights horizontal alignment cause the left front points into oncoming and there is no adjuster as per the manual.
Its like Ford purposely left this off to save money. That is GETO Ford.
Anyone else missing the Horizontal adjuster?
Anyone have pictures of it or where it goes into the assembly so I can adjust without bending metal and disassembling front end?

Strange, as I mentioned before, the 3rd printing of the 2015 owner's manual (March 2015) shows a horizontal adjustment. Wonder if earlier 2015s didn't have the adjustment, and Ford added the capability later in the model year?

Here's a snip-it from the 3rd OM printing showing the horizontal adjuster and location.
