I don't see how you guys are getting 20mph. I am at around 13mpg at best. But i am hard on it and WOT at about every stop.

17.5 MPG 95% city driving and a lot of very short trips as I work only 1.5 miles from home. I'd walk but it pours rain almost every evening this time of year.

17.5 MPG 95% city driving and a lot of very short trips as I work only 1.5 miles from home. I'd walk but it pours rain almost every evening this time of year.
I almost never get any rain here on the gulf in west Pasco. My job forced me to have a truck and they paid for my gas and i drove 20 miles each way. I got better gas mileage with my 2013 RAM R/T pickup and i was WOT with that non stop. Now with my new job i am 4 miles from work and no longer need a truck. I sold the R/T last weekend and used the GT for a week going to my old job as i start my new job close to home next week and it is all 30mph driving.

Any Stang get togethers or such in our area? My Vette club would have a cruise every month.
Honestly I'm not sure I've only had my 16 for a few months now. There are a bunch of mustangs around here though. Quite a few S-550s as well.

Me? I open it up sometimes. I'll probably get on it more once I get my long tubes on. I'll be addicted to the sound :D
Loved the AR headers on my 06 C6 with the Billy boat route 66's. I may go headers on my GT as well. I have a great tuner i have used for years on my LS engines.

I had long tubes on my 2013 GT and you definitely should they sound awesome on this motor. :D

For day to day driving I use 93 as I drive a little more spiritedly a lot of the time. On road trips outside of SC, I use 87 too keep down the trip costs down and I don't typically drive too spirited on road trips.

93 is ideal for long road trips vs 87...I drove 1500 miles from MN to FL and was getting more miles to empty with 93 vs 91 with 3.73 gears but failed to make 26mpg...Moral of the story not all gas stations carry quality gas...even at 93..I was getting mixed mile to empty figures between 380 - 300 miles to empty.

I always run 87 now. I tried a couple tanks of 91 and it didn't seem to make a lick of difference. I went on a nearly 400 road trip with 87 and averaged almost 29 mpg with 3.55 gears and 20" wheels. To me it's just not worth the extra expense, and my car runs perfectly.
That's crazy. The best I've ever averaged was 23.5. Running 80ish. Having 3.73s makes a big difference.

On 87 I typically get 380+ couple times I've gotten a touch over 400 to a tank on road trips. I haven't don't a whole trip on 93 yet due to the extra cost so I can't give you a true comparison but I generally see better mpgs using 87 with this car. Which is opposite of what I would get with other cars.

Armykyle that sounds about right running 80mph. If you slow that down to about 70 you'll get 25 to 26 and a little more if ya don't go over 70
