Is it possible to order a base GT with Premier Leather interior? Anyone know what the cost for the option is?

Wasn't sure if it was something I needed to have Premium in order to upgrade to.

Thanks

Hi I am not sure if you can order it from Ford that way, but the dealer can do just about anything for you in the aftermarket. I had them install a leather kit and build it into my financed price ...Regrets?????

Yes...if I had to do it again I would find my own custom shop to do it.. They took too long and the work was below great quality but fair.

You could get the trusted custom shop to give you a written quote and take it to dealer and have them add it into financed price or pay for it outright.

Another option is "new takeoff" seats and interior.. keep looking here in the exterior parts classified and other auction sites.

Can't do it. You could find a wrecked car and get everything if nobody beats you to them. Most pretty easy to install with the possible exception of the dash top.

Not likely to find new car take offs since anyone doing upgrades (Roush, etc) wouldn't order the Premier just to take out.

Oh ok, well not the end of the world. The cloth seats were plenty comfortable.

Thanks

Best bet is to keep your eyes on the for sale section of the forum. There's somebody out there just dying to change out their sweet premium seats.

I'm certain. But as previously stated by HD, not likely their Premier seats.

Thanks though.

Just order a set on ebay from Shelby--can usually get them for $500 and much better than the factory leather that's mostly vinyl anyway. The Shelby is all leather and alacantra. Great sets--install it yourself, its not hard. No more hog rings etc, they are all Velcro now.

My cloth seats in the base GT are very comfortable - they just don't look as pretty :(

If the S550s are like the S197s, the cloth seats are identical to the leather other than the leather. So I would expect them to be as comfortable in the support and fit departments and possibly more comfortable in extreme temperatures when leather is too hot or cold initially.

I ordered take off leather for my 2013 base V6 from Roush - Keep an eye on them, they do have it, about 500 bucks for the entire set, installed myself, with no experience.

I have the two tone ceramic clothe seats, they look amazing! I've gotten so many compliments on my seats. I am thinking on doing a leather upgrade with the two tones but I really hate how hot/cold they get. I couldn't stand the heat when it's very hot.

eBay. I ordered mine for $400. Pretty straightforward install. There is a write up here somewhere. No special tools required except for a T-50 torq but to remove the seats. Did it by myself in about 3 hours.
