As stated, I’ve had oil replaced twice (yes they used 10 quarts). Car sees lots of track time, that’s why 2 changes in 3400 miles. Car has always run strong, no problems, typical engine noise (I think). I had just been to No Fly Zone, 1/2 mile race, ran a 145.5 mph, no issues and no noises.
I saw the photos you just posted above of the bad bearings. So what I'm wondering is what viscosity oil you've been using during the track times?

That's not saying the viscosity. He is asking are you using a 5w20, 30, 40, 50?

If you are only using the dealer fill and you are tracking then you are not properly protecting your engine. More so if you are tracking, potentially multiple times on 20 weight. If you are tracking on 5w20 then the problem may be the fact you are tracking on 20. lol

You should be using a 40 or 50 when tracking it. Even when I just hit the drag strip for a few runs I put in at least fresh 40, do 4-5 runs then dump it when I get home. I didn't even use 20 in my Ford Focus when I went to the track, I'd never track 20 in a Mustang.

It's 5w20. I used this in my 2017 GT Premium PP1 while tracking and my 370z while tracking, never had any issues.

Don't appreciate the "lol", so you're laughing at me... nice.

However, I will do some research and if I discover that maybe I should be upping the oil, I will. So thanks I do appreciate your opinion.

The 2018 owner's manual says to use 5W-30 for track use.

To be honest with you it probably was 30 if that’s what the manual says, as I always read them and do as manufacture says. I’d rather follow them and have it on record incase things go wrong.

Sorry my fellow 6g members I’m out for awhile, as I have heavy personal stuff going on right now and I’m not thinking to clearly. I’m signing off all social stuff.

Good luck everyone and don’t take life for granted or the people you love.

Peace all.

Hey! How have things been so far? How was the road trip? How's the car doing? Update us some, yeah?

I'm interested, and hope you're doing well this year =)
