I am in the same boat is it worth it, because I look at the long run. That 2500 is going to be 4500 if you have to finance for 5 yrs, some people isn't lucky to get 0. I'm looking at 20's for 1200 and 3:55 gears and I'm at 38000 instead of 41 for the PP. I have been watching people get the PP and then change the suspension and try to sell them but you're still paying for the parts you just took off. And the wheels are good looking but they are going to be a nightmare to keep clean and I don't want think about getting a chip on them....

I'm sure this question has been asked a number of times, but if the price difference is $4500 between a PP equipped car and one without, where would you draw the line and go build your own aftermarket PP version?

That's the situation I find myself in. The '16 the dealer wants to sell me, with the same options except the PP

I've priced out suspension and wheels/tires and am at almost the cost of the PP but haven't looked at the brakes or gears.

I really like the price on the base car, but want the features of the PP.
As others have stated don't pay that $4500 extra for a $2500 upgrade on the PP. It's a great option and it's what I wanted but couldn't get the wife on board with the Magnetic color:crazy: that I had picked out so I ended up with a 400A 6M Ruby Red with 3.31 rear gears (couldn't locate a RR PP car that had the heated/cooled seats at the time of the 72 month 0% offer). The ride is a bit on the soft side but it's not bad for daily driving and it's nothing a set of springs won't remedy. Many people that buy the PP car add a set of lowering springs anyway. The 3.31 gears are just fine for the street. The brakes are plenty big enough, no need to really upgrade those unless you plan to track the car. As of now I'm happy with the car but will slowly try and mod it under the wife's watchful eye's:p.

I bought a PP because I wanted a turn-key car with a level of performance that met my expectations. The 3.73 gears helped to that end a great deal, along with all the other added features. I don't drive it daily. Instead it gets a drive to work about once a week with a lot of seat time on the weekends. The stock gearing and suspension of the first two Mustangs I test drove left me wanting more. Thing is, I've never had the cash flow to trick out a car to completion. It's always been a mod here and there. I enjoy this car. I can spend more time on cosmetic mods, and perhaps a tune or an axle back later if the mood strikes. I got a great performing car on day 1 and it all is under warranty. If I get super serious down the road about suspension, wheels, etc I can still modify it.
