This gives me hope; my first tank is dropping at an alarming rate, even though Ive been babying it. Im at a half tank now and it says I have 100 miles to empty, and averaging only 20 mpg. Hopefully once this tank is gone (87 octane pumped by the dealer) and I start using 93, it will improve.
It will improve. Don't get to worried about your mpg with your mileage so low currently. For one the computer doesn't have enough data to build an accurate map for the miles to e and average mpg. And two the car just hasn't been broken in yet.

Tank 3 guys!! Starting to see great mileage! Keep in mind I have NOT changed my driving habits. While I wouldn't call my driving aggressive I would call it "spirited" at times.

Tank 3: 26.2 calculated by hand. 27.2 as read by trip computer. Odometer reading: 958 miles
30% city 70% highway

Tank 4! I think I might be averaging around 26 for my daily commute. Not bad! Looks as though the trip mpg readout is about 1 mpg higher then actual milage for the 15.

Tank 4: 26.5 calculated by hand. 27.5 as read by trip computer. Odometer reading: 1284 miles
30% city 70% highway

It's an EB
Ahh ok! That makes more sense there! Please keep posting your readings as you break it in! Myself and a lot of others are curious as to how the V6 compares to the EB in real world milage.

Ok now Im officially pissed. I got 280 total miles on first tank, and halfway through second tank, after 100 gently driven 50-50 mixed miles.

The main reason I bought this sewing machine engine was for the mileage and it is NOT delivering so far. It better improve is all I have to say.

Best mileage is not achieved at 4500 RPM.
Exactly... The EB's efficiency will depend entirely on how you drive it... You cannot expect that little 4 banger to deliver 32mpg when your constantly flooring it and staying in boost....

Obie: You also have the performance pack which means 3.55 gears instead of 3.31's. You are not going to see the EPA estimated mileage because of this. I would expect your car to level out around 28-29 highway. With your 50/50 split driving I would say about 23-24 mpg is what you should be expecting if driven "conservatively".

Again, I drive gently. I have no reason to drive any other way; Im not impressed with the power so I dont beat on it, plus its new, people tend to drive new cars gently.
