Impressive time with the stock gears, I might try some runs now that the weather is cooler. I am back on the 235 all seasons though :/

so i did a few 0 to 60 runs for the first time today. my best was 6.9......i know....and i did the 1/4 mile too. im shifting a little early...just past 6k. i ran a 14.9@96 and i had to shift into 4th because i didnt want to run 3rd up to 7k...(still kinda breaking it in..) i live at about 4200 ft...so i know thats not helping. im trying to launch with minimal tire spin without bogging too much. does anybody else with a MT feel like 1st gear is just flat and lazy?

4200 feet is what's killing you. That and you don't want to abuse the car. You have to be really hard on it to get the best times. Another reason I'm going with an automatic. I will never be that hard on the stick like I used to when I was younger.

yeah i know the altitude isnt helping. the last time i had a AT rental....the best i could do was [email protected] that was at 5,000ft. best 0 to 60 on that car was like 7.3 lol...

so i was able to do a couple quick runs at 500ft elev. best 60 ft was 6.5....and best 1/4 was 14.5@98. im launching decently...but the car bogs when i shift to second(or any gear) its like the throttle is lagging behind what im telling it to do. anyways...thats not too bad on the 1\4 run though i feel it should be a couple tenths faster

I used to have that bog too, like the car hesitates from 1st to 2nd when you push it right? For some reason, when I got a throttle body spacer, the car never did it anymore. I doubt if these have any actual power gain, but I did gain like an extra 1-2mpg, and it got rid of the bogging....

Fastest 0-60 I've done was 5.8, and get a 5.9 constantly!

yeah its wprst going into 2nd. it does it in 3rd but not as bad. my first run was a 14.6...i ran it out it 3rd...and ended up bouncing iff the rev limiter right as i finished. i hit 4th just over 6200 on the second run and got 14.5. im getting 3rd and 4th gear chirp hahaha. my tuner comes in this week from torrie so i hope that fixes the throttle response and lag...and some extra hp/tq. ill probably do the tb at some point too

Nice, yeah I'm desperate to get my hands on a tune too lol... It will definitely get rid of the bogging. And keep in mind mine is a spacer, not a full TB. I picked it up on sale for the hell of it, and wasn't expecting much, but it actually did something for me lol.

TB's usually show some power gains when dynoed, I'm not sure if spacers actually give any real number gains, probably not...but again, did get a tiny bit better mpg and no more bogging for like $80...

The v6 can be pretty quick. I got my 0-60 down to 5.0 seconds and a quarter mile time of 13.5, I could have done better but I had a little spin on takeoff that was hurting my times. My mods were 73mm throttle body, unleashed tuning, airaid intake, MagnaFlow mufflers and bbk shorty headers. Was a good all around fun car I just wanted something a little quicker with more potential thus why I traded for an ecoboost. I do miss the v6 growl though lol.

What numbers are you seeing on your ecoboost Joe_Stang? As far as 0-60 and 1/4 mile?
4.7 second 0-60 and 13.0 quarter mile, both with track apps. I will need drag radials to do any better lol.

Wow, that's nice man... that's gt territory on just bolt-ons? Nice!
Maybe a stock GT haha. The GT is still the fastest out of the three lol

joe stang....13.5 is pretty respectable for just a few bolt ons and a tune! i know the eco is more capable in stock form...but all it takes is a procharger on the 3.7 ;) i know tom y just did it on his 15.

also...do you remember what your car did all stock?

very interesting about the spacer. ive heard conflicting stories on them. might have to try one at some point.

I got tired of waiting for the Procharger to come out and when it did I couldn't afford it anyway lol so that option went out the window quick. And if you get the spacer it won't work with an aftermarket throttle body so it's one or the other.
