Wouldnt go so far as to say the v8 is a bad buy, the coyote five o is a beast, is just that i wouldnt be dismissive of the humble eb. Theres already one making 500 non laggy hp on stock internals for about the price of a premium pp gt (less actually).

Details please, part prices and dyno numbers to back this up^ .

Don't reference this one-off (for now) car. I really want to know what's out there, seriously.

Against my better judgement...

Stock turbo car:

The car mentioned:

Also, there is nothing one off about the FFTEC car. They are currently building a customer car the same way right now. People need to quit making assumptions about the EB and do some reading before they post...

People need to start posting prices associated with these not-one-off builds. It makes sense of somebody already has EB and want to make headline with hp numbers, from financial and durability point view can't see how this can make any sense at all...

From what people are talking about in here, buy the EB it is obviously a better buy than the GT. Go get you 500hp and still be cheaper than a GT. Not changing my order though. :)

Have you ever built a project car? People right now are building high horsepower Evo X's which are more expensive then a GT. It's not rocket science, some people just like turbo cars. Let's not pretend like the Coyote has no limits and those are some expensive parts to upgrade. Modding cars makes no financial sense, it is emotional, not logical.

It's all in application preference and I don't know why this forum can't seem to understand that. It seems like saying anything positive about the EB is somehow talking down about the GT. You look on some other forums and people are loving the fact the EB is going to be hurting feelings in the near future. Ford gave us a perfect platform to talk shit with and people on this forum seem legitimately disappointed at the thought of the EB being a performance success.

Completely agree with the above. Just let's not try to say EB can have more hp with these few minor upgrades as it was going little bit in this direction...

We cant help you decide. The forum opinions aren't any better than the two devils on your shoulders. Go drive both, sleep on it and drive away with one.

Oh yeah, get the GT. :D

Just buy what you want, test drive both and even the V6 if you like. In the end, it is your money being spent, buy what makes you happy.

Yup, just like computers, it all depends on what you intend to use the car for. My use case is different than yours so what works for me may be horrible for you.

If you plan on taking your car to the track (drag race or road race) on weekends the decision is more clear (power). If you are intending to just daily drive the car the decision is also more clear (FE). Where it gets murky is the in-between space...

Man, talk about peer pressure. I had an order setup for ecoboost but now I'm contemplating if I should switch to GT. Here's the problem I want the black wheels but don't want pp since it's only manual. People are selling those wheels for 1.5 to 2k on eBay which makes no sense since the pp comes with a lot more for 2.5k. Anyway do you recommend getting the 20" wheels and trading someone or get base keep them for winter and try to find a deal on black 19s? Since GT is guzzler should I keep base gears or upgrade to 3.55? If I get ecoboost I'll have more money for mods but when you think about it, it will cost a lot to get it to GT base potential and who knows if it will affect mpg or not.

get a base auto gt, buy a set of take-off PP wheels complete with sensors and tires for 1200 in the classified section on this site, and keep the stockers for winter.

Don't get the 20'' wheels, just get base wheels and either go aftermarket wheels or buy takeoffs. I am getting base wheels are going aftermarket. Not interested in the PP wheels since I want a squared setup.

EB vs GT, that is your decision.
