Is that why the QB for the Chicago Bears can't throw? Because he's missing arms, as well as the wide receiver? Does it count as a catch if the ball hits the guy in the numbers? Or maybe that's why there are no Bears' fans anymore - they've been hunted to extinction...

One of my neighbors got arrested for killing a bear. The bear entered his yard and went after his dog and young kids. The prosecutor said he should have let the bear kill his dog and he supposedly had enough time to save his kids without killing the bear.

Judge threw it out with prejudice.

I disagree. It might be sad if the thread was filled with stories of people being victims of carjackings, shootings, etc. Rather, many posters have said they haven't had to use their guns in a real-life situation.

IMO, the more responsible gun owners carrying and prepared to effectively use it if the situation calls for, the more it makes everyone safer and decreases the likelihood of crimes. I'm not into leaving guns in the car, though. That's the number one thing thieves are looking for when they break into vehicles.

I completely agree. Also, situational awareness is the first step to not becoming a victim.

Absolutely. Just like I’ve never had a house fire you can be sure I own a fire extinguisher. Does this make me paranoid? Nope…it makes me prepared. Just like I hope I never have to use a fire extinguisher, I also hope to never use my weapon…but should the need arise, you can be damn sure I’ll be prepared to combat either threat with the most effective means I have at my disposal.

Regular practice with your weapon of choice is also an essential in this conversation. When adrenaline spikes you fall back on training. Otherwise, believe me 90% of people don't know whether to shit or go blind.
