Yeah.......Shahni Bartley.
Ian.
That's the one Ian......she seemed nice and helpful......a damn lot nicer than the last person I had the misfortune of talking to in their customer service.

As I mentioned on the window sticker thread Deysha sent me the following email:

"Your order just finished production at the plant on 16/10. It’ll now be released to the body company (upfitter) to finish the assembly process. Then returned to the plant and released, and put out to await shipment, and then ship to the port in Baltimore, MD".

I know the actual building of the car is about two days with all the sub assemblies (engine, dash, painted body.etc) supplied to the assembly line. If you look at the above I could well believe that would take it out to 60 days. I am sure Aussie Mate would confirm this. My car was built on the 16th Oct, so if I add up 60 days +35 days for shipping, plus the time it takes to find a ship + the time from Melbourne to the Gold Coast + the time from dealer to me, I am looking at the 19th Jan for the first two items above + the rest. I would say well into February. Wilb and Aus-MustangGT would literally be in the same boat as me....lol.
Ian.
PS: If I don't laugh I'll cry.

I received the Ford Australia call today. Build date is 30th Nov.

I placed my order Sep 14, so this wait is really testing me.

^^^ My order was in March also.

I made an enquiry on Facebook and Ford today gave me my VIN and a build date of November 2015. They also mentioned 60 days from build I should have the keys.

So, I'm excited for that and can now track my Mustang's build!

I have also had a good chat with my dealer this afternoon and he says there is a lot inconsistency with what Ford have been telling dealers by way of Confidential Dealer Bulletins and what Ford have been telling customers. For instance, the dealer was under the impression that the VIN would be confirmed when the car was ready for the boat yet Ford give the VIN to the customer via a Facebook message.

I can sort of see it from his perspective that he prefers not to give too much information unless he's convinced it's accurate. I'm pretty sure he has a large number of orders too, so he only wants to disseminate once he's sure.

The other thing he told me is that the phone calls are to let people know that deliveries will be sliding; he's trying to find out the extent of who/what will be affected. I haven't had a phone call yet but if it's "No Caller Id" I tend not to answer; not sure if I can resist that now!! Haha!

Mine came from a Melbourne number?

Caller ID wasn't blocked.

Got my call from Ford today with 30th November build date so I guess it will be March 2016 at earliest damn it. She said dealers will get showroom cars in November.

In case you missed it. 30.11.0002 isn't a real build date.

I'm at 60 days today since my Mustang build was completed and it hasn't left the US yet.

You might want to put your dealer mentioned key handing ceremony date on your calendar in pencil

Geez they talk some bollocks dont they....apart from a few press cars already on a boat, no cars have left Baltimore yet....the boat takes a tad over a month for the trip....that puts any cars that leave today not getting here until early Dec. at least.
Maybe they will air freight them...hang the expense....

Then the next thing is we find them bombing isis with them
Lets not suggest airfreight at this stage.
They would be safer in Santa's sleigh!
Cheers
