Better be fucking here by March...

I have a friend coming from overseas for 10 days in March, LITERALLY just to see/drive my mustang. Not even joking.
I was annoyed at jan. not sure what will happen if I find out its March/April... I was also hoping to put it on the grass at this car thing the estate I live in does in March. A guy here had a 60 something red vert I wanted to park next too :)

You know Hybrid...I would happily pay a few extra g just to get the friggin thing here....I remember reading that some of the euro's had that option with their lhd's. Pay a tad extra and get something other than standby shipping. Currently I believe they stick them on a ship that has unfilled space...gives them cheaper rates than pre booked shipping....

See... clearly I'm not the only one who would do this. This is become a joke.

Why can't we load it onto an aircraft or something? I'd pay up to $10K right now to fly it here, unless it's more... in which case fuck that.

I've seen quotes of things like 75k Euro to transport a car via air.
I'm not sure how valid that is because I've never actually asked myself, but if a person costs $1k and weighs 100kg, then a car that weighs 1700kg could well cost $17k by the same logic.

Not to mention that it'd probably require a specialist aircraft.

well as of about 5 mins ago i think my mustang journey is finished. I had ford call me and tell me that my feb order is now a Jan build which effectively puts me at may delivery. So basically i ordered well and truely before the cutoff yet for some reason i have managed to end up in the second batch.

I am going car shopping tomorrow and pulling the pin on this rubbish. The car is going to be sold before i take possession and ill go with the new owner to pick it up.

I am also preparing a letter with timing and dates thats going to ford which i am sure will be ignored. But my god.. i cannot even put into words how angry i am with Ford AU at the moment.

If anyone from Ford monitors these posts (which some are suggesting they are). how about you actually do something and legitimately look at my order and explain what has happened. THERE IS NO EXPLANATION. The only thing said was "im sorry i dont have any information all i have is a build date of some time in january"

I guess i should have known this would happen...

Without a firm build date, unfortunately that's also uncertain.

Yep pretty much. I emailed the dealer who called me and explained that there are apparently three groups in the first batch. A, B and C. My car for some reason is in group C which none have VIN as yet. They only have one car in group a which is being delivered this year.

He confirmed again that my order was submitted on the day i ordered.. The whole process smells like a rotting dead carcass to me.. I am sure that dealer size and brownie points are considered ect.. regardless of what ford au are saying..

Anyway. I am still raging so dont want to be a downer on all the awesome news of cars on a ship. I will check in and if someone wants to come take me for a drive please do! But i am going to checkout some cars tomorrow as i need something to lessen the pain and its too early to drink.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

That sucks bigtime Melbnut.....particularly with some March 2015 orders being in the very first deliveries....I can imagine how profoundly pissed off you would be.....
There are some very serious problems with the ordering system.
If it was for a shopping trolley like a Corolla then most people would say stiff shit and move on, but there is generally a fair bit of passion and enthusiasm for the mustang, so the dissapointment is magnified.
If you can get over the late delay and are able to wait it out...that would be great...you would otherwise be missed from the mustang6g community.

Thanks Bob. I am sure ill calm down at some point. I am just gobsmacked at this process and cant for the life of me understand why ford would come out and change dates then change them back to what is worse than even the original bad date. Also the complete lack of actual answer besides a new date is unacceptable, at least prepare staff with some kind of script to add more BS to the growing mountain.

The poor woman on the phone just didnt have an answer. I asked for an escalation point which she also didnt have and wasnt sure what to say.

Ill have to just make a decision and if i find something else i like before then ill sell it.

Wonder if GM will bring the c7??? or this hellcat decides to make an appearance.

Really sorry to hear that Melbnut, I feel your pain, they have stuffed up badly with this. I enjoy your posts and hope you continue on the forum. I have a feeling you'll be in a new Mustange sometime in the future.
