That cannot be correct. I cannot be stuffed googling but im sure a car cannot take 60 days to build.. Start to finish.

It takes a few weeks to build a bloody aventador it cant take 60 days to build a mustang :)

The guy I spoke to introduced himself as Neil (I forget his surname), the national sales manager for Ford Australia. He spoke with an accent - is that the same person others have spoken with?

well my dealer responded to my email and basically confirmed that they actually do not know what is going on besides being told in the most recent bulletin that there are large delays (no reason provided).

Ford AU will be calling customers with this news over the coming weeks. But as expected there is actually no reason at all. My guess is that Ford has chosen to fulfill the American demand first then uk then Aus by slowing down the already trickle feed of cars for Aus buyers.

OH also has anyone heard about the focus rs? Only 300 coming in 2016 and all are sold.

Well done ford... i commend you on your ineptitude

Ok just to clear up yesterdays conversation with Neil.

My car is scheduled to build November, and still "on track" for Feb delivery.

The National Sales Manager Neil did not mention any significant delays, or 60 day build periods etc.

Not sure why there's conflicting infos even after the phonecall...

Seriously what are we meant to believe, all this conflicting information, I should have just purchased a C63 or a GTR instead of taking the gamble.

Lol I've given up ages ago. This forum has become a rage arena. It will come when it will come... unfortunately phone call or not won't change anything :(

Just got my call from Ford Customer Service Centre and was told my car was on track to be built 30/11/15 and that it takes ~ 2 months to get to Baltimore Port and another month to arrive at the dealer. This is consistent with my expected delivery date of 27th February 2016. No mention of any delays and was told there would be e-mails at every step of the way regarding build, etc. Sounded good to me.

This confirms the 3 months from build to arrival.

This whole ordeal has made me take it out on telemarketers, who normally only get 70% the verbal abuse.
