Learning incident for both parties at NJMP Lightning

Blend line incident was scary. This was a PCA event? You had to be in an advanced group, right? WTF was he thinking?

Damn that’s scary. What was the Recourse? I typically prefer a lighter touch when it comes to mistakes, but I think I’d want them black flagged for the entire day. No scenario where that lack of awareness is okay.

It wasn't PCA; all participants were either intermediate or advanced in this mixed run group.
The event organizer had a stern talk with the participant (don't know exactly what was said) and they apologized to me. The participant headed home after the incident for one reason or another.
I'll be more on my toes for sure if a similar situation crops up again. I've seen blend line rules broken from time to time and feel the video helps solidify why it's important to adhere to so felt compelled to share.

Glad everything was OK, great reaction My fault and learning, few events back, being first at the pit out I blended the line coming out thinking it didn't matter, but it does. Have to follow safety rules no matter what. You were behind me and when we were chatting afterwards about the session you mentioned it, and thanks for that. Gave me a better awareness.

Btw... Congrats on the personal best. The entry and exist of the lightbulb was awesome (I'm taking notes).

Just saw this. Damn good driver having enough awareness to release the brakes once we was backwards, allowing him to roll back onto the track instead of the wall.

Finally compiled a new PB for NJMP Thunderbolt. Ran with PCA and it was fun chasing down 991.2 GT3 and 981 GT4's

Inspired by threads like this one found in searches and with my first track day coming up, I decided to try out a cheap lapel mic from Amazon attached to my license plate (wired through trunk to GoPro mounted on rear windshield). I'd say it works pretty well for $15. Need to upgrade my cheapo mount for sure, a bit shaky.

Note: Still has less than 1000 miles so trying to keep it under 6500 RPM

Not bad for $15. Sounds like you might have a hint of plate rattle. I had two pieces of weather stripping on the back of my plate to combat that. Might want to see if that works for you too.
