force you to buy a MyTouch? :eyebulge:
Base GT, PP, pop in mp3/cd and be happy
Believe me, I'm not allergic to stripped down stangs. I ran A/C delete in my last set up. :D

But that stock radio is ugly and the missing toggle switches make it look like the interior wasn't done being put together. If I'm gonna drop $30k+, I want the interior to look clean and flow together. I'll spend the extra cash to make that happen.

Unless I could add the toggles aftermarket and put in an ipad to replace that stock unit. Couldn't do that till the warranty expired though...

Good find on the gauges for the GT. While I won't knock a vacuum gauge because it does serve a purpose, I wish they would have put something else in its place, especially since they decided to not use the same vacuum/boost gauge in the ecoboost car.

interior wise..I'm digging this base GT with track pack...buttons over toggles for me and the recaro's look great. also did y'all notice the rear diffuser is all body color instead of black and body color? looks way better!

Hmmm yeah the missing toggle switches might be the dealbreaker you are right after looking at pics again overall its a big difference! Current techpackage is $1200, I guess I can stomach it. Hope it isn't a useless touchscreen though.

And Wow! to the above image.

Anyone out there have any insight to what will specifically be included in the new Performance Package?

I might have captured it all.

  • Upgraded brake cooling
  • six-piston calipers for the V8 and four-piston for the Ecoboost

  • and our goal for a Performance Pack V8 is to beat the Boss at the track

Also the standard console didn't have the seat cooling and heating function buttons in those pics

Agreed! It's pretty pathetic...If not down right embarrassing. I seriously lol'd when I first saw this. That screen is smaller than most damn phones...:tsk:

I had seriously been pouring over the photos trying to find something I really disliked. The base center stack is that thing. It's hideous, cheap-looking, and poorly put together. I'm hoping this is just a rushed pre-production and the reason why it's not showed up in press photos. If this center stack makes it to production, Ford is basically punishing you for not buying My Touch.

PP also includes upgrade from twin tube shocks to mono tube.
The LA PP car also looks to have a bigger front splitter.
It also has Recaro's and looks like a stripper electronics package... or about as hardcore as you can order a GT.

I wish they had tightened up the steering ratio to match the chassis potential. The S197 had a 15.8:1 ratio and the S550 has 16:1 compared to the M3 which has a 12.5:1 ratio. A quicker steering would greatly increase the nimbleness.

I am going to knock it. A vacuum gauge is nigh on useless in my opinion. Hopefully by the time this comes out they find another gauge with something more useful, voltage, oil temp, water temp, trans temp, anything but vacuum.

And yes the number pad on the base radio is for what??? (edit: okay the phone) But the flatness and squareness of those buttons does scream cheap!!!

Two small gripes and it doesn't spoil it for me, but they could be fixed between now and next Fall when this comes out. Hope they will.
