I'm on the hunt for tires. Considering 275/40/19 but was wondering if my rear 9.5" PP rim would clear the Brembos up front. Has anyone tried mounting the rear PP wheels to the front? If so, how was the fit? If all fails, a 275 should fit the 9"

It clears the brakes, but it won't clear the strut without a small spacer.

Anyone figure out the spacer for this?
From Ford specifications:

The GT350 - 10.5" front wheel, backside spacing is 6.931". This wheel has a 30 mm offset.

The GT-PP - 9.5" rear wheel, backside spacing of 7.323". This wheel has a 52.5 mm offset.

The GT-PP - 9" front wheel, backside spacing of 6.772". This wheel has a 45 mm offset.

If we assume that the GT350 has moved the front wheel inboard as close to the strut as possible but still allowing for sufficient clearance during demanding conditions (flexing of all parts on the race track), we should consider this as the maximum back side spacing.

Based on the above, I calculate that a 42.7 mm offset is needed thus a 9.8 mm spacer is required.

I consider a spacer of this thickness in the "Use Caution" zone as one should be considering wheel bore to hub contact compliance and stock lug stud length with sufficient lug nut thread engagement.

My estimate using a 9.8 mm spacer puts the outside of the tire 1/2" closer to the fender than the stock PP 9" wheel with about another 1/2" available useable clearance.

My personal choice however is to use a 10" wheel up front with a 36.3 mm offset because no spacer would be needed and is the maximum useable size on the stock front fender while keeping "Normal" tire diameter, camber and clearances.

I have not personally verified any of this, so as such I do welcome anyone with direct experience to please jump in and comment. (It may save me from making a bad purchase in the near future.) I am also not aware of any significant hub/strut geometric spacing differences between the GT-PP & GT-350. And please reply post with your spacer success!

Correct a 5 mm spacer pushes the wheel out enough to clear the strut.

I've done it before a few times for some members ( just supplying the spacers).

I did a test fit a few weeks ago. I placed my 9.5" rear rim with Tire (275/40-19) onto my front which had a 25mm spacer and it stood out just a little. I'd say a 20mm spacer would be pretty flush.

Correct a 20 mm spacer would provide the same fitment as some of the custom setups i have cut to order for members.

Why would you run 20mm, wouldn't the camber be way off? It's interesting, I really don't think anyone on this forum knows much about wheel spacing. Not saying I do at all, I don't believe 5mm is the perfect solution either, but the amount of conflicting opinions on this topic is staggering

Camber no.

Now wheel spacingis subjective thats why wherls come in different fitment ranges and widths. Some like poke some like tuck. Some like aggressive camber setup and others dont.
