My TR6060 swap was a success so I'm selling my 2,500 mile MT-82 in perfect working condition. I also have the entire drivetrain available for sale as well. This transmission is great for a replacement or can be sent off to a transmission builder like Ben Calimer. I'm located out of the SF Bay...
For those interested in seeing gear ratio options for your TR6060 assuming a 28" tire, I attached a PDF copy of my spreadsheet. There is two sheets to view depending on the finals gears that your tr6060 may have. Overall I used the tremec calculator as I liked how it spits out the info.
Hope...
Just got confirmation from Ben Calimer regarding the gear ratio. The 5th and 6th gear ratios are in fact 0.74 and 0.50 which I'm happier with (MORE MPG...lol). I'll be going with 4.09 gear set from Ford Performance along with the recommended installation kit and bearing & seal kit.

Selling my Blowfish Support Bracket as I upgraded my transmission to a TR6060. Always had perfect shifts and served as a great safety loop. Bracket is in great condition with all parts and instruction manual. Asking $175 for local sell and $190 shipped. Retails for $250 new. Let me know if you...
I'm confirming with Ben. You may be very much correct where we are purchasing these tr6060s not knowing which final gears we are getting. I was told the 2007-2010 tr6060 where the gearing is what I specified.
Appreciate your feedback but I'm getting more concerned now not knowing which is correct. Math never lies unless the gear ratios we've been told is incorrect (1st: 2.97 | 2nd: 1.78 | 3rd: 1.30 | 4th: 1.00 | 5th: 0.80 | 6th: 0.63). If the tremec calc are correct, I'm considering 4.10s where...
That doesn't seem right either. Your tire is 28.5" and at 75 mph, the tremec calc is showing 2100 rpm. Is your tuner properly adjusting the speedometer?
TR6060 users, what differential gear ratio did you go with? I'm on a 28.6" tire (street) and 28" (drag) so I'm hung up between 3.73s, 3.91s and 4.10s. I see the track maybe once every other month so definitely more city/ hwy driving. Shooting for 800 rwhp soon. Would love to hear input
Old thread but I'd share my thoughts.
1. Go with 10 rib setup: Benefit with the damper and better belt grip
2. Install OPG/ TG prior or during Whipple Install
3. Install whipple myself
4. Purchased 3.625" pulley from the start. However, a 3.750 would be beneficial for long drives
5. Check to...
Great news!! Kooks has finally heard our prayers for a 3" adapter pipe to make our exhaust a true 3" system granted that you have a 3" catback. I have the Corsa Sport catback where this adapter would replace the current 2.5" bottleneck. I'll share photos as soon as it is delivered and installed...
