however, anyone of us would jump at the opportunity to own a Boss or Laguna (Boss) and that's pretty much what we are getting here with the PP. Just my two
cents.

Best argument ever TO get the PP

Well said sir

The AT issue ended up being the decider for me. As much as I love to play in a manual Mustang, I don't think I am up for 150K of daily driving in one anymore. And I am just not a summer tire fan. I checked on Tire Rack, and I just couldn't bring myself to sign up for $350-$400 20" tires that will last 20k miles at best. I am a fan of tire sidewalls, so the 18" wheels carried the day.

Not slamming anybody's decisions, but those are my considerations and priorities. My car will be more "gentleman's express" than "track terror," and I am really pretty OK with that.
I'm in a similar boat. I have an 80 mile round trip commute and I'm tired of shifting. So I opted for the Auto and loaded up my car with all the creature comforts (401A, Nav, Interior appearance, reverse sensing).

The non-available spare on the PP killed it for me.

This whole argument is kinda pointless. None of us have driven the car yet. We do not have anything to compare the none-PP to PP equipped car. There are pros and cons for both. I will make my decision after test driving both, but I am thinking about going with GT w/ PP, and here are my reasons.
1. I put approx 3,000 miles a year on my car. So the MPG and tire wear is not really a concern of mine.
2. I want to enjoy the experience and be confident when I am driving. I think the PP package can deliver that with stiffer suspension, bigger brakes, better tires, better gear ratio for acceleration.
3. Winter is pretty mild here in NC, I already have two AWD cars.
4. Mustang with PP package will have better aesthetics to me. Of course this is a personal preference, but the Brembos, bigger/staggered wheels, and few extra gauges can make a difference.
Obviously there are no right or wrong answers. It's your money and your preference. Spend your money where it makes you HAPPY!

BAM! I see a winner here! My thoughts exactly and I like the Euro handling and if it is anywhere close, I am gonna be happy, anyways

I've had two flats in the past 20 years and never worried about it. Until last week when I got that second flat.

I had to limp off the road and call a coworker to come and get me then I called 5 tire shops with no tires in stock. I had to order from tirerack and have it delivered the next day, luckily. Then had to have another coworker drive me to my abandoned car for the tow (flatbed).

I had to take off work the next day (after I had my wife come get me from work, 45min drive each way) and have someone else drive me so I could pick up my car.

Long story short it was a serious PITA and cost $550 for two tires shipped and mounted. I'll make sure I have a spare in my next car.
This is the sort of thing that most of us don't consider until it actually happens.
Similar thing happened to me with a brand new 1999 Firebird Formula that had barely 500 miles on it. Driving in heavy Dallas traffic 300 miles away from home in my brand new car while on a visit to see a friend. Road construction. Some piece of trash tagged my sidewall and brought on a blowout. Had to finish driving a couple of hundred yards on the flat till I made it to a wider spot. At least I did have a spare, thank goodness.
Put on the space saver spare, pulled off at the next exit. Made a couple of calls from the convenience store to find out that getting a replacement tire in the right size was not going to happen. Found a tire store about a mile away and paid in advance to have them overnight a tire in. The manager was nice enough to open up Sunday at noon just to switch the tire out for me and get me back on the road.
All in all, I actually felt lucky. If it had been 5 hours later I would have been in the middle of nowhere, New Mexico or Arizona and would have been in real trouble in those pre-cell phone days.

It is the sort of thing that you need to be aware of when having a daily driver that uses tires that are not a common size.
Even an extra set of tires sitting in my garage would not have helped out in my particular circumstance.

If I was to order one, it would have to be with a PP package. For the money, its great deal. Try putting those things on individually and it would cost quite a bit. The same for the radio. True you may be able to do some things aftermarket, and I have on my 11 Shelby, but if I could have gotten nav from the factory, I would have.

Interesting my GT would cost me 42,010 build out how I would want it. Going to see what a EB would cost :)

Though its all in fun.Roxxy is not going anywhere any time soon.

It looks like you drive an M3 which is a ridiculously rare car (or at least around here it is). With how common the GT/GT PP will be I wonder how long it will be until the tire is a common stock item. I see a 5.0 every twenty miles down here so Im betting in my area it will be six months before the PP tires are as common as the cars themselves.

Around here, M3/4s, C63's, and RS5's are far more common than 5.0 Mustangs.

Standard GT tires are 18", PP tires are 19" and on the V8 they are not even the same tires front and rear.
Even if Ford stays with the same size PP tires for several years (very doubtful), they will not be a regular stock item at most retailers. They will probably have to special order them and wait several days and be excluded from any potential discounts or sales. Retail outlets usually have an area wholesaler that they get tires on a daily basis from because there is no way that even a large retailer can stock the wide range of tires and wheels they would need to cover all the potential customer's needs.
Heck, I got new Michelin tires put on my wife's Honda Accord last Winter and they had to get those from the wholesale warehouse and Honda's are way more common than Mustang's of all flavors combined.
The obvious, and potentially the only reasonable choice down the road, is to order them in advance yourself from a place like TireRack and then take them to a place that will switch out the tires for you.

It would be nice if they learned how to use their turn signals or any of the basic rules of the road. :frusty:
Now, now, that sounds like prejudice.
Similar to saying that all 6 cylinder Mustang owners are fat girls and gay boys. (Just an example that I have heard a few times).

One could make the non politically correct argument that stereotypes exist for factual reasons....

Guy's come on! Yes the PP is $2,500 but...just go to any of the following site...

American Muscle
Late Model Restorations
Ford Racing

Price the Performance Pack parts seperatly. The costs are way more than the factory is charging for the upgrade.

Brembo 15" 6 piston = $1,800
Boss 302 Radiator = $500.00
3.73 Gears = $150.00
Torsen Limited Slip = $800.00
Strut Tower Brace = $150.00
Sway Bar and springs...well I think you get the idea. Thats the price just to buy the parts. It doesn't include any install if you need it.

I for one think it worth the extra cost. IMO
