Test drove a base and premium GT, a base and premium EB, and had the sales guy drive me around in both the GT and EB with the PP. The non-PP cars definitely had a ton of body roll to them. Felt like I was on marshmallows going into turns.
what sort of test drives are these? Salesman trying for for the 1.0g lateral ?

Go for it

I dd my pp and love it. Yes, gears are short, but that's what makes it fun because they pull so hard! My only advice: take it easy until you get used to it, especially when it's wet out. It will spin around on you if you get careless or overzealous. This is pretty much true of all mustangs, but more so with shorter gearing.

My PP Gt was a daily driver up until winter got normal around here. Im nearly age 50 and the car is just spot on. That 3:73 gear so compliments the stick. Lots of smiles and internal bliss lol.. Everybody and their kin will try to catch you or think they are racing you though. The strange thing is you will feel like the PP cars a rare breed. I never really see them at all.

I DD mine, I'm learning getting into third quickly makes it a bit easier around the city. It's been a tad cold here in AZ, and I've noticed the tires don't like it, but I think come spring/summer here I wont have to worry about that.

I DD mine. Getting some BFG Gforce Comp2 A/S tires really helped the handling in the cold. I love the gearing. I love the ablity to cruise around town in 5th at 35mph and above.

Now that I have the Michelin Pilot A/S 3 tires on my GT PP, I don't want to drive my DD (Toyota Corolla XRS) and take my GT everywhere, including in the rain. Once you get used to the gears, they're nice.

But the 1 to 2 under acceleration is hard to do smoothly for me.
