Step one: Get PP GT

Step two: Get 20" wheels ordered from dealer

Step three: Install 20" wheels, send the takeoff 19" wheels my way so I can use them.
Got any EcoBoost performance pack black wheels you can send me? :) Hey, things are buzzing here - to have black or not. That is the question :ford:

That was my thought as well but if past experience is any indication the cost of buying those rims/tires ala carte can be pretty hefty vs. being able to order them as options.

Wonder what the chances of picking up the 20's as new take-offs might be . . .

Norm
As they are optional and cost $1295, it would seem unlikely that someone would spend that to get another 20" aftermarket option to replace them.

I concur with Tony on this. I am REALLY hopeful that Ford things about this. Why would you want someone to give up 20" wheels if they also want the performance package (which should be a VERY popular option)?

Ford....are you listening!?

Sorry to start this forum off on a negative foot, but Ford, if you're reading this - and I know you are - please consider offering another wheel option for the PP.
I agree. I want the performance pack, but the stock wheel look better to me.

Do we know if the pp wheels can support a squared set of tires?

Sure they can fit square tires. Got a set of 275/35R19s on them for autox/track days. Some crazy cone-killers even run 285/35s.

The fronts are a little bulgy, but it's not by much. Still can't rotate tires without remounting them tho (which is on my to-do list this week).

Picked up some propper street wheels in 19x10" for daily use, the PP wheels are now track/autox only for a while. Since they're stacked in the garage I gave them a good cleaning. Holy crap just cleaning the wheels good takes longer than cleaning the entire car.

New street wheels:

Personally I dont mind the styling of the GT PP wheel package. Mine are a nickel finish which looks great for the guard color.

The tire widths are ok for a stock car. I didn't quite like it so I upgraded to a 275F/305R. However a lot of owners don't wanna put up with the BS associated with those widths.

If your really not happy you have the luxury of the largest aftermarket industry in the world for this platform that would love to take your money.

I swapped my EB PP wheels and put them on my wife's '06. Looks amazing and perfect fit. Used her original lugs.

Yeah, they do look good on there. I took my nickel luster PP wheels off as well. Now the wheels and tires are just sitting in my attic above the garage.
