Don't worry about it. It usually goes away on its own with miles on the oil. If not and the noise bothers you, LiquiMoly Ceratec or MoS2 can help get rid of it.

Add 1.5 bottles (vs just one since you have 10 qt vs 8) of Liqui Moly MoS2. Can be had at your local Autozone for about $8 a bottle.

Nice man! We told ya so. Its magic stuff, that MoS2. It also reduced a tiny bit of exhaust resonance and engine vibrations that come into the cabin in my car.

If it helps you at all, the second change in a row with Pennzoil I do not have the engine tick. I only got the engine tick when I switched to Rotella and the subsequent switch back from Rotella to PUP.
The only other time I had the tick was long ago back when I used Mobil1. From now on I only use Pennzoil. I just used the Pennzoil Platinum this time, not the Ultra Platinum because it wasn't available when I needed it. The Ultra Platinum is probably the better oil but I don't think there is much difference for it to matter to me.

Does anyone know if the Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra Platinum have the Ford WSS-M2C945-B1 spec listed on the label? I was on Walmart's website and the photo of the back label for the PUP for the single bottle listed it meets this spec. When I switched to a 6 pack, the label changed and it was no longer listed. I was wondering if anyone was finding the new label(listing it meets the -B1 spec) on the bottles they were buying yet? Wonder if anything changed? In fact, the front label has changed too :

Idk about the Ford spec, but the new pup is now rated as SN Plus, which is a higher standard.
