Paxton will not last on the 3.48 or anything smaller if spinning to 7700-7900.

The oil slinger inside breaks off the shaft and everything fails, there is no fix or upgrade.. Only option is bigger better Oil Fed units...ask me how I know

Did you have yours rebuilt or did you swap head units? I saw the video on ATLS550 of you at the track last weekend are you on pump or E85?

I just finished logging my 93 tune, and the car scares the shit out of me. Gonna start my E85 logs soon, and I have no interest in more power yet

That's seems like bs to me tbh. They should offer a trade in program if thats really the case. I would have ordered the HD or a JT-b had I known better. I'm happy with my current power though. Just hope she doesn't blow.
They do have a trade in program and the blower can't be converted to the hd. They told me a used blower will get you 500-1000. The hd unit from Paxton is $3,224.

500 for a used one that works seems cheap. Probably better off selling the whole kit and going turbo.

Plenty of people running the 3.48 and smaller and not having issues. I'm going to go 3.6 shortly and then 3.48. When I go 3.48 I'll probably cap the rpm at 7500. With a 3.48 and the Boss you'll be making some power. Most Boss 3.48 cars I see are well over 800rw. Figure a car with a stock intake and the 3.6 makes 750ish on E85. Boss is worth 40-50.

If I ever have to build a motor that's what I'm doing.

Paxton told me today that the SL cannot be upgraded to the oil fed. I wish I knew its limits upfront. If I were to do it over I would buy a whipple or twins.
this is not true either, i'm not sure if jon bond gave you that info as well, but not the case.

there is a guy working on these blowers, that is not authorized to do so and giving out incorrect info

to me

Hello,
2200SL specs
  • 3.60:1
  • 52,000 RPM
  • 1400 CFM
  • The SL units cannot be upgraded to an oil fed unit. a new unit would need to be purchased to get the oil fed version

Thank you,

Jose Flores

No I am still on the 3.6. I am going E-85 in the near future and planning on going with the 3.48. Did you get your car in the 9s yet?

I went 10.06 @ 136 last weekend with a 25mph headwind literally... Idk man im honestly thinking about going twins or a larger reliable JTB blower.

I think you are better off selling the while kit and buying twins. Did you run the charger without the inlet? What was the DA? What fuel did you run. I have been 9.9 at 139 on a 3.6 and MS103.
