So I keep having to adjust my parking brake (which is a huge pain. almost impossible to get to behind the resonator. Cannot get my hands in there. One of the most miserable jobs ever...anyway)

Finally found out that the cable just in front of the passenger rear wheel is rusted and collapsing adding a bunch of slack to the line. I just need to replace the cable from the adjuster to the rear right wheel. Here is my problem. Since the adjuster is almost impossible to get to, I don't see any other way than removing the exhaust resonator and by extension most of the exhaust system in order to get to the adjuster with two hands and tools in order to install the new cable....

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The exhaust on these cars is pretty simple to remove. Especially if you have it on a lift.

Had same problem. Needed to remove the exhaust to replace the cables. Both the band clamp and the oval flex coupler broke during the process. The band clamp ain't cheap but is available. The oval flex coupler is not available separately so I welded a round flex coupler in in its place.
