I am not a fan of the black look. To me, the look of black wheels and miscellaneous body parts is over done. I much prefer color matched parts, and a contrasting wheel.
I can’t find any photos...not too surprising..of anyone having color matched spoilers or mirrors. Before I go forward with paint, has anyone else done it?

None Yet: <smile> No, I haven't but I can probably edit an existing image to make them look painted. What color car? (And I will presume you're talking about a Base wing. You weren't talking about a Snack Pack wing or, the chin spoiler, right?)

Here are paint to match mirrors on @geoking GT500

First Mod Completed...Body Color Mirror Caps. Also pictured below is the lower passenger rocker that has been repaired from the as dealer received minor issue. The replacement stripes arrived today and will be added in the morning.

I also took a step toward the wheel color change by ordering the Forgeline wheels you see in the attached link below. These will come in about the same time as my steering wheel from Beith.

I reached out to one of Anderson Composites Distributors for a spoiler and gurney flap , but the price was higher than list. I will take a step back and see about this later as there is currently ZERO stock and a waiting period. No problem.

Hey KB, please explain "Snack Pack wing". Do you mean the rear adjustable one on the CFTP model? I am also done with the over use of black accents especially matte and flat black.

Speed: I just checked my image files and I have a whopping six shots of Kona. Unfortunately, none of them show the mirrors and spoiler well enough for the project. Do you have a screen grab of Ford's "build your own?" If so, PM me with it.

I can’t seem to grab a good photo from my phone. I’ll have to try tomorrow on my computer while I’m in the office.

Speed: Leave it to Earl to solve problems, I swear. <smiling>

He sent me all the views of a Kona build because that's just who Earl is.

Anyway...

Because the mirrors and spoilers are black, if you add an adjustment layer using a solid color as an overlay, the black still dominates but at least there's a blue tint on each.

Best I could do for now...

It just dawned on me that the '13/'14's had a painted spoiler and mirrors. I too like the look and I "feel ya" on all the black. Like you, I was always a chrome or aluminum wheel person in the past but after getting my first set of black wheels for my '14, it began to grow on me.

Here's the '14...

I plan to paint the spoiler and mirrors, undecided on front bumper (initially thought yes but prob not now). I will paint the spoiler but not the gurney flap, i think that will be a nice contrast. Undecided if i will paint the whole mirror or just the cap. Will have to photoshop when i get my car and determine.

But chrome or polished still looks better on most cars. (IMHO)
