Painted engine cover

looking to paint the engine cover & valve covers and I want them Magnetic Metallic so when you guys are painting them to match your car are you just using the oem spray paint or are you getting/using hi temp paint matched to your color. Thanks

My advise, for what it is worth, ( i do this sort of thing a lot.) Go to http://www.automotivetouchup.com/index.htm. find the factory color you wish to use and all the accessories to do the job right. Also do yourself a favor and use the adhesion promoter. it really helps the paint to stick to the surfaces during the thermo up and downs in the engine compartment .
Here is a pic of mine and it still looks as good as the day I did it.

I just ordered mine from JLT. Lightning Blue and Magnetic 2 tone. Came out great.
