I have been working on these babies for about a week now. I am still waiting on the machine screws to come in so i can put the engine cover back together.

I sanded everything smooth. Sprayed the semi gloss, then taped off and painted the gold. The gold got a clear coat as well. I also blacked out the red dot on the 5.0

I wanted something that would match the guard color, but different than the norm. I went back to my roots (my 1964.5 stang) and went for gold and black. Lemme know what you think. I will post more once they are installed.

killer... looks great! I was looking at similar combo but possibly gold carbon fiber in middle. Nice work, Black/Gold retro was a great choice.

If i was gonna do it again, i would do the anchor roon vinyl inserts. Worth the money. The dip would be a nice touch since its tough to get a perfect smooth surface for the gloss gold.

If you told me ahead of time you were going to paint it black and gold I would have rolled my eyes. It looks great! Nice job!

Looks great! Don't forget to paint the upper part of the intake that will show through the engine cover, or you'll have some gray crap throwing off your vibe!

Never seen one. I just have a 65 with a factory painted gold/black engine.
