102,000 miles. Old man driven. I really don’t want to do the ‘18 upgrade. Are the ‘15-‘17 intakes still available from Ford? No, not going to go with a used or China intake.
Web searching Ford parts I get part number FR3Z-9424-N. But I’m also seeing that same part number for the ‘18 intake.
Honestly, I’m just trying to avoid the expense of the tune and the hand held device. Because if I have to go there I’ll be adding a CAI as well. If I’ve gotta go there, looking at the complete kit from VMP.

GT350 or 18-23 are the easy buttons here. Both are more reliable.

You can run the GT350 without a tune with the stock TB and intake if you use an adapter. Not sure if it's still in production though.

People used to get the FP Power Pack 3 for both the performance uplift and reliability.

I’ve heard you can run the GT350 without a tune and you cannot. Anyone here with firsthand experience? There are wiring mods needed.

100% the GT350 IM is a bolt on no tune needed install. You will need a throttle body adapter VMP makes a good one.

Yes I have run the GT350 IM on a 17 GT with no trouble and no tune. I am a hobby tuner so I now have a tune for it.

Just FYI, 95% of the tune for this manifold is just raising the Rev limiter.

Can you not unstuck the IMRC or are you just planning to upgrade and this gave you the reason to?

Most likely the shaft is broken since this seems to be the common issue. Now it could be the vacuum actuator. I just don’t want to tear into the engine and have it sitting waiting on parts while unmoveable in my driveway. I’m going to try and get a better look before ordering anything.

Update:
Went with the 2018 intake, JLT CAI and the VMP tune.
Pulled the ‘15 intake off and discovered I just had a bad actuator. Oops! 😬
But I don’t care. The butt dyno says it was well worth the effort and cost.
