Hello,

My car has been a PITA for 2 months now. It's a 2016 GT Automatic Base model. Everything started with 2 misfires in cylinders 6 and 8 (it's been a while since I swapped all the spark plugs after that and the codes have been cleared and never came back after that). Fast forward it's throwing these codes

At first I tried to buy this sensor from amazon

but when I pulled out the one from car, it only had 2 prong connectors and the one from amazon has 3. So i went and picked one up from O'reilly's connected it back, cleared the codes, took a drive. Within 3-5 miles, the CEL came back. During this entire fiasco, engine has been idling rough at times, loss of power, weird exhaust notes that i've never heard specially in 2nd or 3rd gear. Can someone please guide me in the right direction. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Check the wiring to that sensor as well as the connector pins. The wiring you'll have to peel back some of conduit if to see if the actual wires are physically damaged.

A few M6Gers have found the wiring to be the culprit:

You could also get a multimeter and probe the connector to see if it's good or if issues exist. You can also probe the sensor and spec it to make sure it's within the factory specs. If it's +/- of the allowable factory specs, sensor has manufacturing quality issues and it's going to throw a code.

There's also these threads about the cam sensor if you haven't seen them yet:

Hello,

I did poke the pin connector from the front and I got 0 readings. I thought I'm not poking it deep enough and now I will reply back later after I checked the damage for wires. Thank you for the links.
