Hey all. I recently decided to swap out the battery in my 2015 GT Auto with a new AGM battery because the old one would regularly go flat after a few days of not being used. I charged and tested the new battery, installed it, did a BMS reset and confirmed that the car "learned" the new battery.
A couple days later, I started noticing a clicking sound from the passenger footwell when I start the car. Apparently this is the Blend door actuator for the climate system. I figured no big deal as it's a common fault that's cheap enough to fix and that it was probably just a coincidence that it happened after the battery replacement.
Then, fast forward a couple days, I was parked up after a short journey and suddenly got a "coolant over temperature" warning flash up when I started it up again. I checked all temps they were all perfectly normal. Oil and coolant levels good and no visible leaks. It cleared when I turned the car back on and I drove home with no issues. Fast forward a few short uneventful journeys to today and I had the warning flash up again today on my way home. This time, the code wouldn't go away until I cleared it. Again, temperatures didn't seem out of the ordinary other than the fact the Cyl. head temp was showing dashes until I did a power cycle.
Reading up on this problem in combination with the codes I read from my car, it seems highly likely that my CHT sensor has failed. Given the other issue, I'm worried that once I've got it replaced I'm going to have to get it replaced again in the near future. I'm also worried about other electrical components failing. Is there anything I should check or confirm before I take it in for repair? Anyone experienced this or have any advice?
The codes I got are:
(WARN) [19:34:43.229] DTCs in PCM: P1285:00-AF, P1289:00-24, P1299:00-AF, P1450:00-68
(WARN) [19:34:43.703] DTCs in FCIM: U0401:00-08, B11E6:14-0A
(WARN) [19:34:44.082] DTCs in DSP: U3003:16-0A
(WARN) [19:34:44.478] DTCs in PSCM: U0401:00-48
(WARN) [19:34:44.744] DTCs in IPC: U0401:00-08, U0415:00-08, U3003:16-08
Thanks in advance
