I do run a E20 fuel with the Ford Racing Power Kit, and have been for a few years now. I just got this code. I did notice that the cars AFR was stuck at 14:1. Just an 02 sensor? Can it go out that early.

I mean with machines, anything can break for any reason, at any time. With that said, it may just be the 02 sensor's heating element, or it could be a circuit issue (chewed wire by a rat or something).

I’ve posted this for a few M6G members where a generic P0300 has popped… hopefully it’s helpful.

Other M6G members have found that even just a stand alone P0300 was related to a faulty crank sensor. This could be your issue too, so review each thread carefully because each owner came across it in a different manner.

Check this thread:

AND this one:

I would pull the crank sensor first and see what condition it, the connector and harness are in.

This thread may give you some enlightenment to Ford's misfire strategies:

Also here is a pdf snip from the Ford Shop manual. which is "Coyote" specific. I'm including it because it gives a bigger picture of how to diagnose misfire events from the generic to the actual cylinder event codes:.

Hey Ice, I am hoping you are right. I don't think this is from me running an E20 fuel.

Egads - read too quick…sorry about that….

Correct, the P0030 is related O2 Heater circuit failure for Bank 1, which IIRC would be passenger side.

Try swapping the O2 with driver side, clear codes and see if the code comes back and if so, is it now on the opposite side? If it is, faulty O2 sensor.

You can also try cleaning the O2 sensor head with EFI throttle body cleaner, wipe dry and reinstall to see if any codes pop again.

Also as ice445 suggested, check the O2 harness for any visible signs of damage. Also check the pins in the actual connector to make sure they are not loose, which can also cause sporadic issues.

Just an 02 sensor. Fixed under warranty no issues.
