I have a toy (diecast model) Race Red with the nickel wheels :)

It's a build it yourself model and I wanted to put the black wheels on but they gave me 3 black and 5 nickel... bah!

I could take a photo of that if you like?

Sounds like I need to get one of those SSB! Might be the only one I see for a while ...

I would like to see a few good photos of a Race Red GT with the nickel wheels. I was scouring the Internet yesterday and didn't come up with much. Have been toying with reverting to black. Any seen in the wild?

Sounds like the Ford Australia mustang delivery process in real life?

Thanks G Rush for being more adept at me at finding things. Those nickel wheels almost make the car look more British than American. Part of me likes that, part of me doesn't. That makes me a bit ambivalent I guess (ordered because I'm not a great fan of black wheels in general, though they are growing on me). The car almost looks completely different. Maybe need to get some aftermarket wheels for my non-Anglophile days? And swap back over after watching a Bond film?

We get the same pattern in the black obviously, but, to me, it's kind of an odd style of wheel style for this sort of car.

I think they can keep the chrome trim around the windows.

Yeh agree with the chrome trim, so glad we don't get that.

The car certainly takes on a bit more of a classic look with the nickel rims, and that's why i've decided to option those for mine.

I think black wheels lend themselves to a meaner look, nickel will let me keep it classic, "Stock+" with few changes. Black wheels and lowered makes the car look naughty :headbang:

I think I'll buy some aftermarket rims after the first set of rear tyres so that I can have a square setup and a different look. We'll see

Sounds like you're on the same path as me. What colour have you ordered? Might have a look at exhaust options, but we'll see, or rather hear ... Not planning on too many mods. Stock+ is a nice way of looking at it.

Well wasn't I a clown! Should have worked out out from your picture, and from the signature below. That's a great combo. Almost looks a bit like something Timothy Dalton might drive in that colour with those wheels. I could live with that myself. But it's got a really big aerial. Must be difficult to pick up the radio in the mountains.

The chrome around the windows doesn't look too bad with the Guard (I only really noticed it on the other photos). Looks a bit naff with the Race Red.

I think the Chrome kinda works with the Nickel wheels, I suspect it would look bad with the black.

Luckily (?!) we don't have to make that decision here in AU :)

Agreed about the style of the wheels as well - I don't think they really suit the car - a lot of people are planning to switch to aftermarket. I do like the colour choice of the black wheels though.

I'm not sure there's another manufacturer that's offering black as a standard (only option packs like the BlackHawk on Jeep, an option on Range Rovers, etc), so kudos to Ford for that :)

Black wheels standard on SSV Redline. Or are you counting that as a Commodore option SSB?

Fair question - you could argue either way, I'm going with it's the SSV with a Redline option :)
