Girlfriend saw a black GT fastback in Norwest Boulevard (NSW) this morning.
There is an S197 model that works in Norwest. I haven't seen the S550 yet.

Sorry for my crap grammar there Snakebite, it was Jarvis Ford Norwood. I just requested that they fit slimline premium plates....they organize them....they are not personalised plates.
The car wont be here until late March...
As far as personal plates go, just talk to your dealer when your car gets closer. They deal with this stuff all the time and are pretty helpfull in that regard. Two of the cars I saw today had the slimline plates screwed straight to the bumper....they looked very neat and being small, you didnt notice them hardly.
Got jealous and popped in to Jarvis Norwood Bobsp12. The 4 cars looked pretty good and I have noticed that a small plastic piece is being put on behind rear wheel (inside wheel well on rear bumper end) which makes the mismatch of alignment of bumper to rear quarter look alot better. Did you get to take "Jarvis" convertible or the registered FB for a drive having bought through them ? They must be dealer principal cars :frusty: I wanted to ask but was too honest and admitted I had ordered already and elsewhere.

I work at Norwest - I've seen the S197 a couple of times but not seen any S550 (apart from mine).

GTCONVERT, the Jarvis registered car is the dp's.....someone there let it slip....then tried a bit of fancy sidestepping when it was mentioned that they weren't supposed to be having dp or demo cars....I didnt even think about asking for a drive....not that bothered at the moment...quite happy to make our car the first drive.
The black vert looked damn nice though, the black interior and top suits the body colour..

I agree with how they looked Bob. Funny thing is the young guy there told me that FORD had given them those (unregistered ones) as display cars and when I asked can I buy one he said not for 12 months. I have heard from a reliable source that the two registered ones are dealer principal and same goes for a couple I have seen at my dealership. Guess thats what frustrates me about waiting and almost as much, frustrates me that others such as yourself have had to wait even longer given we all got the NO DEMO, NO DEALER purchase spiel...oh well my January build got pushed to March (year after I ordered) and due for mid June delivery apparently so working out its a 15 month wait from here on in at this level of RHD builds.

I hope you can wait it out....it is very tough....it was bad enough when there were no cars in the country to taunt you, but now you guys have to wait and see them everywhere...I reckon that would be even harder to stomach.

Yep the more I, and even more so friends and relatives, see them on the road the harder it is. "Being asked any news on the car yet?" has been banned within my ear shot. Be happy to get my Vert in winter..exactly as I envisaged my first drive - NOT !!! :frusty:

Yeah the waiting is crap. I phoned ford with my stock number and they said September build and December delivery. ...oh but that can change. I said i was told 12 months and she said no dealers should be telling people 15 months if they ordered after March 2015 :frusty: news to me. I said to them the way it seems to be going this will likely be 18 months if im lucky :frusty::shrug: thats a f'n joke . Oh and I seen a black mustang in the city while driving home:hail: man....ford know they can f us around because the car is HOT

Black verts FTW! :headbang:

Yeah I was told about 13. Then it dropped to 12, but with a March build date on the cards it seems more likely about 14 months!

Yep Snake Bite. They got us by the proverbials and waiting that long I guess most will not cancel fir a couple of months or so..can tell you I almost did ! Yes they are HOT, be nicer if I was driving mine though.
Ssb did you order your vert last March. Looks like our verts will be built together and hopefully shipped at the same time - like siblings haha. I went Ingot and not heard of another one ordered in convertible but black is THE colour. Just getting to lazy to maintain a black car, especially if it becomes my daily as planned.

I ordered in May, but I figure on end of March, plus 90 days ends up being a June/July delivery or about 13-14 months, not this 12 months that's being touted!

Another 'vert! Yeah, seems they're a much rarer breed, good for us, we'll stand out even more :)

I'm planning on it being a DD, so I'm hoping a bit of paint protection plus the black wheels not showing so much brake dust will be enough to keep it looking good enough :)

Saw another Magnetic on Homebush Bay Drive heading north towards Rhodes around 5.30pm on Saturday (not sure if it was GT or EB).
I was driving my Magnetic GT at the time and tried to catch up - would have been awesome to get two identical ponies side-by-side. Couldn't get close due to heavy traffic unfortunately.
