and posts like that are terrible for business ;)
I guess more facetious than funny. I see my fair share of MVA's. Which is why I would not do anything to impair any of my Mustang's safety systems.

The trend with automobile lighting in general annoys the hell outta me. HID bulbs in halogen reflectors, blue lighting because 6000k must be brighter than 4300k, tinted tail lights, tinted head lights (pay good money to have outstanding headlights, only to make them less effective..), chrome and black covers to cover up half the tail lights to make shitty designs, etc. I could go on...

Que the "real modders" who rush to defend such things (might as well throw those shitty stanced cars into this while I am on my soap box)

What's that saying? "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should." I think stuff like tinted lights are what people do when they don't have the money to afford real mods, but they want to feel like they did something.

i believe you do. and i figured you weren't being serious ... but just couldn't resist saying something.

i'll take any opportunity to keep myself out of your office, or mine. keeping lights/reflectors functioning as intended is one step. unfortunately, i will be in one of your brethern's offices soon for a shoulder injury (showing off throwing a football last weekend... inflammation related no tears or anything thankfully).

So what do you consider real mods? Looking at your sig I don't see you throwing around a ton of money on any mods. Maybe your mad because the cost of the tint was going to blow your budget?

And to to quote you "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should." This is in regards to you providing your opinion.

I don't understand why people want to tint headlights, tail lights, and anything else with a light either, but to each his own. I reserve those comments to myself.

I have noticed however that it seems to be related to age. The younger you are the more likely you are to like it.

I'm glad that there's others out there (the vast majority, it seems) who think that making your car look one-note (black) is pretty lame. There's a reason professional designers use contrast to make things look good ;)

People want to have a badass street looking car...DUH.

Hence the murdered out looking car that looks mean...Have you not asked yourself why people plastidip the badges and emblems?...To get that look that is stealth...LOL

I guess with all the bullshit aside...It would be as good as someone asking you why you need to have an aftermarket exhaust on your car?

I think this looks good...

Tail lights are a safety feature. I'll never understand making them 50% less effective for some perceived esthetics. Is risking getting killed in a rear end collision worth it? :shrug:Exhaust is not a safety feature and doesn't stop a semi from rear ending you in the dark. So bad example.

I've seen heavily blacked out taillights and they lit up so well as the driver used the brakes. Bright as stock brightness, therefore it depends on what film or paint people use.

I feel like such a tool, The black forged wheels, tinted lights/windows, black tipped Corsa exhaust, and even the hammer tone BMR sway bars.
Yep cheep shit. I'd burn it but now I can't as I've just been informed by the cool kiddos I wont be covered.
Time to throw all my black rifles in the ocean. Ill start with the HK

And her lamps light up just fine, maybe some of ya'll need your eyes examined. These stoplamps are BRIGHT on these cars.

Blacked out non led tail lights - with a thick coat is one thing.

smoke vinyl on our EXTREMELY bright tail lights is another, but check your local laws.

texas is 1000 ft and i can see tinted mustang tail lights a solid half a mile away lol
