Hi all,

I have a Hellion TT car that was built and running E85 before I purchased it. I am currently running 91 + Boostane Professional. I have no E85 where I live. Not even close. I’m on the east coast of Canada.

I am going to order in drums of E85 for later this summer. There are many brands, numbers, etc. I’m not very knowledgeable with this type of fuel, so I am asking for your input.

I think I can order Ignite, Fuse or VP.

From the prices I see, VP is almost double the price of the rest.

What would you order if you were in my shoes??

Please keep in mind that I’m going to pay a lot for shipping, so the price of the fuel will not reflect my total cost.

All comments are greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Shaun

We use renegade e85 in the race car. Cheaper than most and makes over 2,000 hp with it.

Is it safe to store on a residential property? How does it compare to gasoline?

It’s just high quality E85. No different than regular gas or pump e85 as far as storage, just keep drums contaners sealed.

I’ve heard good things about Renegade, but have never used it. Two local shops including Carlyle Racing run Ignite E90 and it works great

I've had good luck with all 3. I don't believe VP is worth the premium price. At least it wasn't worth it to me. I like ignite and I'm using it almost exclusively now. It is a little harder to light in cold weather. My tuner had to make some adjustments for cold starts.

Store the drums on a pallet. Never directly on a concrete floor. Keep the drum sealed and preferably in a climate controlled space.

I have my e90 made locally. Local shop mainly makes gas for OEM motor testing and heavy equipment, and gets straight E and mixes as ordered. I think he said they have a blenders license for making fuels to any specs in house. Plus being local they deliver same day. Amazing.
